24.01.2022 Time to give a huge shout out to the Corangamite Shire for their ongoing support of the Simpson Football Netball Club! Over the last few months, we have been successful in gaining a $10,000 grant from councils Hardcourt Maintenance Allocation Policy to go towards the netball courts resurfacing project. We have also been successful in gaining a $500 Quick Response Grant to purchase some much needed training equipment for our netballers.

Thats right, it will be ROASTING this Sunday night with thanks to the Simpson Football Netball Club kitchen. The Guy family have been a part of the Simpson Football Club for over 25 years and have had a massive impact on our club both on and off the field. And even if you dont ask him, Shaun will eventually tell you hes the best Reserve kick for goal going round. 14.01.2022 Thank you to all who attended the AGM last night and to those who stayed on after to become our new 2021 Simpson Tigers committee. 2020 has been a very strange... year and I know we are all looking forward to a great 2021 season. I am thrilled to announce our executive roles! It is fantastic to have Brad Smith on again as President, our money man David Costin as Treasure, along with Danika Price as our new Vice President, Kim Balcombe as our new Deputy Vice President and myself as Secretary. Congratulations to the continuing Netball President Casey Anne Weel, along with Jessie Harding as Vice President and Hayley Shirley Weel as Treasure/Secretary. Both Football and Netball did a great job navigating the weird 2020 season and will continue to do so for the 2021 season. 14.01.2022 COACHING ANNOUNCMENT!! It is with great excitement that the Simpson Football Netball Committee can announce we have filled the following 2021 coaching positions: Senior Football: Tom Leishman and Nick Harding will again take the lead of the senior football team. After a great pre-season earlier this year, the committee have shown trust in the direction that these two are taking.... A Grade Netball: Rebecca Mitchell, who joined the Tiger Army as A Grade coach for 2020, will continue her quest with us in 2021. Rebecca showed great leadership in difficult times early this year and we cant wait to see what she has in store for our A Grade Girls next year. U 18 Football: Judson Jennings has been chosen to lead our top age juniors. Judson has a long history with the footy club and were looking forward to seeing what he can do with our future senior players. All other coaching positions remain open and the committee will continue the search to fulfil these. To all those who applied, the committee thank you for expressing your interest in the future of our club.

11.01.2022 Well folks, 2020 is coming to a close.... and I don't think anyone is complaining about that! But the good news is 2021 is just around the corner and it all starts here at the AGM.
