22.01.2022 This is a job we had through this week. 2010 c200 CGI. This is applicable to all Mercedes 4 cylinder petrol engines. Mainly the m271 supercharged and turbo variants. The engine suddenly stopped while driving. A badly worn timing chain had skipped teeth and caused significant engine damage. The client was unaware of the signs of a worn chain. Not always will the engine light display. Signs to be aware of are: ... - prolonged cranking of engine before it starts. - rattle for a short period on cold start then disappears. - rattle from engine at idle. Sadly this was an expensive repair but it doesnt have to. We have specialised tooling to carry out timing chain replacements, most often without dismantling the engine, at the time you notice a symptom of wear. 16.01.2022 As the saying goes when the going gets tough the tough get going. Sharna and myself want to take the moment to thank firstly our staff for what they have done for us this week. The boys have gone above and beyond to get the job done and all knowing there isnt enough work next week to continue. We are so proud of your efforts and thankful that our company Hopefully will come out the other side because of it. Our customers are unreal many have provided work this week when the...y really didnt have to just so as we can keep the service open for when we come back. It will be a different set up with myself (ash) continuing until we are forced closed. 13.01.2022 A big congratulations to these 4 guys on the Victorian Formula 500 Speedweek series ran over Christmas/new year. Dion bellman took out the series closely followed by his brother Chris. If you are urgent to have your car serviced or repaired and you live in Purnim, Bushfield, Woodford and Warrnambool areas we can pick your vehicle up and we will call you prior to dropping it back off to you to arrange payment over the phone. If you are elderly or have elderly neighbours, parents or grand parents that are trying to stay home and need their vehicles serviced we are happy to pick up and drop off vehicles in the above areas. 06.01.2022 Sprinter van V6 diesel (om642) in for a a diag check. Engine light on. Code was regarding low boost pressure. Test drove heard escaping air when under load. Tested and found these 2 split seals. Inlet out outlet of turbo charger. It is a issue we commonly see on this particular engine. Seals we had in stock and client was back going the same day. We keep a wide range of commonly used items so we can get a quick turn around on repairs.
