25.01.2022 Super excited to be able to tell you that so far our competition is scheduled to go ahead next weekend (13th September). We are so grateful to all the people have offered to help so that we can keep our sport going! The committee has been hard at work and our meeting on Tuesday was electric with chatter and planning for our event! The only catch - there will be essential requirements that each of our riders and committee must adhere to on the day!!! , EVERY SINGLE P...ERSON that enters the grounds (no matter their age - child, adult - status - riders, grooms etc) must have their own individual Covid form! And these must be handed to our Covid safety officer at the gate for entry to be given! There will be NO spare forms when you get there (no option to fill it out when you arrive as it will block the entry way)! You must print your own form AND fill it out AND bring it! If not, we can’t allow entry unfortunately! , you cannot visit the office on the day! For any reason! It’s off limits! Idea will be - arrive, get on your horse, warmup, compete, leave! Results will be on Scoreboard and Test papers will be sent to you at our expense - please make sure you let us know via FB message if you win a ribbon and if you want that ribbon! Please also make sure your address on your entry (you can check on nominate) is correct as that is where it will be sent! Please make sure you read the information on the front of the draw when it heads your way!!!! I know I sound mean - but we really want this to be a success!!!! Know what you need to do and BE PREPARED!!!! Link to the required form https://www.nsw.equestrian.org.au//COVID-19%20Self%20Decla

24.01.2022 Draw for this Sunday's competition will be emailed out Monday evening! Looking like a great day

23.01.2022 TOO HOT! Sadly, we are forced to postpone our PRD 2020 Singleton Dressage Championships scheduled for this Sunday, November 29. A temperature of 42 degrees is forecast, which, combined with the humidity listed on the BOM website, puts conditions outside the acceptable range under Equestrian Australia's hot weather policy. This is not a subjective decision made by the committee, but one made mandatory by the policy. It is for the safety of our horses and riders. ... However, we do hope to run the championships just two weeks later on December 13, when the temperature is forecast to be a much more rideable 28 degrees. We are awaiting confirmation on Thursday from Singleton Showground re availability for that date, so watch this space. Please don't message the event secretary regarding refunds or scratchings until we confirm the postponement of the championships to the new date, or more reluctantly to hold a delayed 2020 championships at our first 2021 competition!!! Ann-Maree Lourey President

23.01.2022 Our first competition for the year ... some snaps from the day! Feel free to add tags/names if they aren't already there!

23.01.2022 Live score results available here https://www.nominate.com.au/scorebo/results//Reports.aspx

21.01.2022 Our 2020 PRD Nationwide Championships are fast approaching on November 29 and entries will soon be available for you on Nominate. Please ask around and help us to gain sponsors for the day - $500 buys you sponsorship of a level and a name on a rug but all donations of goods/cash are more than welcome. We have an official letter, please PM us for a copy if you would like to hand it out. ... Every little bit helps. We are one of the few clubs offering a Championship event this year, let's make it a good one!

16.01.2022 We made Horse Deals!!! https://www.horsedeals.com.au//fri-18th-040b9d71-c57e-45b6

16.01.2022 Thank you to all the beautiful riders/family members shouting out our committee and event today! You are all so lovely and this is what running comps for others is all about!!! Please message through any photos you may have taken today - we would LOVE to share them on our new website and on here!!

15.01.2022 POINTSCORE RUGS for 2019 It seems like a lifetime ago, but our wonderful winners from last year were set to receive their rugs at our March competition. Those rugs will now be available at our competition next weekend and will be on the verandah at the committee rooms for collection. Please observe social distancing and kindly wait your turn if there is a rider already there before you. ... Unfortunately we will be unable to take photos, shake hands and present the rugs as we usually would thanks to COVID. However, the committee would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our winners and ask that you send us in a photo of you and your horse wearing their rug so that we can put up a mass congratulations post after the competition! Thanks for your patience and understanding.

15.01.2022 Time to announce some last minute for you all! Firstly - entry is via Bathurst st gate #2 - this is where you will find our Covid safety officer! Make sure you bring your forms for every single person! Secondly - stabling! A couple of things worth remembering. You need to bring and use Glen 20 and anti-bacterial hand wipes to wipe them down when you arrive and again when you leave! You will also be able to only use every second stable (provided you’re ...not bringing multiple horses)! But please adhere to the social distancing 1.5m rule when using stables for yours and our safety! Don’t forget to check the new website out for gallery images from the day and the draw - changes were made and posted yesterday! We’ll also post a link to the results (on scoreboard) as soon as we have them! Be sure your address is accurate for your test papers also - they’ll be sent out on Tuesday or Wednesday (earliest our busy committee can get to them) so we apologise if you don’t have them quickly - AUS Post is slower right now also so please take that into consideration! And that’s about it! Make sure you have checked your ‘to bring’ list and are organised with the extra things! It’s going to be a super event! Please drop an emoji or gif below to share how you’re feeling about competing tomorrow - it’s been a long time for some! (This also helps more people see posts on Facebook - clicking like isn’t as effective)!!!

12.01.2022 UPDATE: SEE YOU NEXT YEAR Due to the unavailability of Singleton Showgrounds and also the unavailability of the majority of judges, we have been forced to cancel our Sunday, November 29 competition rather than postpone it to Sunday, December 13. But don't panic - all of our lovely champion rugs and reserve champion saddlecloths and all of our donated prizes will be available for you and your steeds to win when we run our belated PRD 2020 Dressage Championships on March 14,... 2021. Better late than never, right?! Don't forget to save the date ... our 2021 dates (COVID, heat, etc permitting!) are: 14th March 2021 (2020 PRD Singleton Dressage Championships) 30th May 2021 12th September 2021 28th November 2021 (2021 Singleton Dressage Championships) So from all of us at the Singleton Dressage Committee, have a lovely Christmas, enjoy the opportunity to ride and train over the break, and we will be back with competitions details in the New Year. Thanks for all your support during our COVID-ravaged year!!! Ann-Maree Lourey President

08.01.2022 Such good news for our championships in November! Excited for the future!!

08.01.2022 Entries are now open for our 2020 PRD NATIONWIDE Singleton Dressage Championships! Yes, we are one of the few clubs in NSW to be running a championship competitoon, and remember that if you attended our September competition, you are also eligible for our annual pointscore awards if you turn up again at the same level! Again, we are one of the few clubs still running a pointscore competition this year so make the most of it! Remember too that our September competition fille...d up 10 days before the official close of entries, so don't leave it to the last minute! The competition is only ONE MONTH AWAY! Entries close November 16 at 11.59pm. Here is the link to our Nominate page: https://www.nominate.com.au/EquestDn/Event.aspx

06.01.2022 What a bizarre year it’s been. We’ve been fortunate to have already held one event and there is still another to go on the 29th (don’t forget to enter for the CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!) We’ve got a few interesting points that we will bring to your attention over the coming months but have made some decisions for progress and change! We’re excited for the future of our ever popular competitions! Firstly - we’ve decided that anyone who joins as a member for this coming event will hav...e their membership carried over into 2021! It won’t allow you to be eligible for this year’s pointscore but will allow it for next year and you will have members rates! Secondly - junior classes at our upcoming event will be for riders up to the age of 18! We will revise this for next year (to be even more inclusive of our junior and young riders) - more details to come in the new year! Thirdly - did you know the surface at the ground had been improved? Sand has been added to make it far softer for horses! Come and try it out!!! Finally - our coming event has capped entries!!!! Get your entries in ASAP because they’re rapidly filling and we’d hate you to miss out!!!!!

04.01.2022 Please check your draw!!! Changes have been made!!! https://www.singletondressage.com/events

04.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our 2019 pointscore winners who collected their prize rugs at the weekend - pictured is Leanne Way and Blackall Park Brooklyn and Tanya Winstanley and Harvest Picasso with their 2019 pointscore rugs. They said: 'Thanks for a great day and a great 2019'!! The following rugs have not yet been collected and can be collected from Byalee Stables at Cessnock: Elise Keeley (medium pony); Kaitlyn Dalhunty (open medium); Kathy McGreal (official novice) and Olivia Palfreyman (official preliminary).

03.01.2022 The event is getting closer and, with one of our modifications that are in place, it is essential that we post our test papers to everyone so that people aren’t visiting the office.... That means..... YOU need to check your address is accurate with nominate! To do this you can check your entry receipt (should have been emailed) or log into nominate! We already know that some local people have addresses in the system from years ago! We don’t want your test papers lost in the... mail system - so PLEASE check check check!!!!!! If there’s an issue with your address, please change it in the system AND just message the Facebook page (not Dimity) as these will them be passed on to Kirsty (our scorer) so that your papers can get to you!!! Thanks for being ON IT!!! Please tag those you know are coming also!!!

02.01.2022 PRESIDENTIAL REPORT A huge thank you to all of the riders, officials and supporters of Singleton Dressage Club for being COVID-cooperative and allowing us to run our first dressage day of the year so successfully! A special thank you to our vice-president Kellie Webster, who gave up the chance to compete on her own horse to instead sit on the gate all day in her pretty orange outfit and exchange your COVID forms for wristbands. Without her, we could not have run the day! ...Continue reading

02.01.2022 Our loyal Lavacoffee van will be on hand at our upcoming competition on Sunday, operating in a COVIDSAFE-accredited manner to make sure we have everything we need to make it through the day. Catering for our 13 judges for lunch, Christine and Richard will also offer all your favourite beverages plus lots of tempting cakes, sandwiches and more! Please observe social distacing if and when you queue and please don't socialise unnecessarily with your fellow riders - maybe next comp!
