22.01.2022 GRAND FINAL THURSDAY 11th APRIL 6pm Team 4 - Daniel Storey Justin Bates Pat Morton... Tom McNamara V Team 5 - Andrew Burgmann (subbing for Chris Gerard) Alice Collins Brad Driscoll (Hayden will be stepping up) Hayden Lawrie Hope to see more than just the Grand Finalists there on Thursday so we can have some impartial scorers. Presentation will follow, along with a couple of refreshments at the Diggers next door. This should be a very close Grand Final. Team 5 will go in with the underdog title after Captain Brad Driscoll being unavailable due to international surfing commitments, and with the line 1 position being filled half way though the Comp, Andrew could be a couple of games underdone. See ya Thursday.

19.01.2022 Draw for this coming comp. We have an increase of players for this Comp. Note there is no 7 teams, so team 5 has a bye this week. We have also removed the allocation of courts 1 & 2 for games between 4 teams. Starting this comp we will be trialling a registration system for next games to be played.... Once both players have arrived at the courts, you will be able to put your names on the next to play list. When Court 1 or 2 become available, the next pair in line will play. Anyone needing to play earlier or requiring a preplay can use 3 or 4 when they become available. As we only have a Max 12 games a week, we require the next pairing to be ready when either court becomes available and players waiting or having previously played to score any game that requires a scorer/ referee. Please let us know if I have any numbers wrong

17.01.2022 Every one run your eye over the draw please and let us know if we have your phone number wrong. Cheers.

With 3 games possibly going either way, this could be the upset of the year. Winner will progress through to next Thursdays Grand Final, while the losers get the opportunity to watch it. In the other final was the closer teams to run 2nd & 3rd, Team 1 - Al ...McHattie, Gary Merritt, Greg Nalbanoff, & Robert Quayle, against Team 3 - Danny Thompson, Justin Bates, Tom McNamara & Hayden Lawrie. Can all captains ensure their entire team is aware of their position in the finals and have someone ready to play at 6pm. In the highly contested race to the Wooden Spoon, Team 5 proved their consistency this year to claim the honours, well done to Daniel Storey, Frank Ferraro, Brad Driscoll & Caitlyn Armstrong! 5th & 6th are welcome to have a game on Court 3 this Thursday night, but unfortunately, you wont be playing for that sort after Grand Final spot Next Thursday night. If Ryan Seears, Alice Collins, Pat Morton or Lucy Seears want to challenge Team 5, feel free to contact your respective line to arrange a game Thursday night, Team 5 could certainly do with the Practice. 03.01.2022 2019 Spring Comp starting this Thursday night.

02.01.2022 Term 1 Competition. After tonight’s gradings and via messaging people, we currently have 19-21 players. At a minimum we would like 24 players to allow 6 teams of 4, but even more players would be great! ... We have decided to postpone starting the Comp until the 14th February and having one more week of gradings in an attempt to get more players. We need current players to help us increase our numbers! Have you got any friends/ family members keen for a game? Any current or ex player will tell you we have a wide array of players and welcome players of all skill levels to come have a game. But we really need new players to attend gradings, all current players are welcome to come have a social round robin next Thursday night as well. Starting at 6pm, every Thursday for the School term. Cost is $80 for the season and we have racquets available for people to use on a weekly basis. Please contact us if you know of anyone or are considering having a game. We understand, some people have shiftwork obligations, but if you’re keen for every second week, there may be a chance to pair people up to play alternate weeks. We are willing to try anything to improve our sport in Singleton, recent support from the Council has improved the facilities for everyone to enjoy.
