24.01.2022 Have you left your Christmas shopping to the last minute and still looking for a gift idea? We still have plenty of Archies in stock! Come in and grab a pair! Our Singleton Clinic is open until 12pm Christmas Eve! "With up to 2.2cm of orthotic support, Archies Thongs incorporate the same amount of support that you would find from an ‘off the shelf’ orthotic, however with the patented design, they look just like normal thongs. The support found within Archies Footwear may help to support the foot in a more biomechanically appropriate position thereby easing the stresses and strains that would otherwise be transferred to the musculoskeletal system!"

19.01.2022 @exerciseright_aus and @10000steps_ have teamed up to start the new initiative of the AFTER WORK WALK. From 16-20 November we are encouraging you to chuck on your joggers, grab your dog and head out for a walk While it can be difficult to find the time to exercise, especially for those working a full-time job, there are many small things that can be done to help increase daily steps. Whether it is walking home from work, walking to a bus stop that is further along th...e street or parking the car further away than usual. ESSA has now launched its After Work Walk campaign with 10,000 Steps to encourage corporate workers who are more likely to spend their day sitting to increase their daily steps and be made aware of the benefits that walking can have on an individual’s physical and mental health. With more people returning back into the office due to COVID-19, it is our mission to remind them to continue to exercise and highlight the importance of fitting exercise into their busy lifestyles where they can, such as with an after work walk." #AfterWorkWalk

13.01.2022 Merry Christmas!

13.01.2022 It is the most wonderful time of the year, full of family, friends, food, drinks, and good times! And often our health can become a second priority. It becomes much easier to swap our 30 minute workout for another drink at the Christmas or New Years party! While a few missed days of exercise here and there won't cause much damage, the longer we delay this the more difficult it becomes to restart your regular exercise routine. Below we have provided a few tips to keep active o...ver your break and not let the Christmas cheer overwhelm us! 1. Exercise in the morning Exercising first thing in the morning allows us the beat the heat of summer. Not only this, as the day progresses we are more likely to ditch our workout. The key is getting it out of the way early before the festivities begin. 2. Increase your incidental exercise Exercise doesn't have to always be routinely and structured. Incidental exercise is movement and activity within your day to day life. You can increase this by parking the car further away and walking to the store, walking around the shops at the Boxing Day sales, or even taking the stairs instead of the elevator. 3. Get the family involved Since Christmas is all about spending time with loved ones why not get active with them. Whether it's a game of backyard cricket, swimming at the beach, or taking the dog for a walk. Making exercise social not only makes you more likely to do it, it also makes it much more fun! 11.01.2022 October is Mental Health Month and with all the stress of 2020, this year it is more important than ever to promote the importance of physical activity for mental health. The article below from Exercise and Sports Science Australia highlights the growing evidence that exercise is beneficial for our mental health and helps to protect against a decline in mental health. Even short bouts of just 10 minutes have shown to be effective for improving mood! Lift some weights, go for ...walk, or try a Yoga class; all types and intensities of exercise can help to improve symptoms of mental health. Contact an exercise professional for more exercise advice and to help get you started. #ExerciseisMedicine #MentalHealthMonth See more
