25.01.2022 Well done to all students who competed in our Yellow Block Basketball competition. 8 teams entered with around 50 students, some who have never played Basketball before which was great to see. All teams played each other once before a 4-team finals series which seen The Lakers crowned as champions defeating Mamba 24. 21.01.2022 What a term!! As we come to the end of what can only be known as a ‘bizarre year’ we have managed to pack in a term 4 like no other. The staff and students have enjoyed graduation, book awards, the P&C colour run, movie day and the talent show to mention but a few. We would like to wish all our families a very safe and happy Xmas and holiday break! School commences on MONDAY 1ST FEBRUARY. Youth Focus is a WA based not for profit organisation that support those between the ages of 12-25. The riders visit high schools on route to engage and inform students on issues of youth suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, as well as the services that Youth Focus provides. Paul will train for 6 months leading up to the ride from Albany to Perth which is approximately 700km. His personal commitment and contribution ensures all donations go directly to Youth Focus. 08.01.2022 Over the past eight weeks, 40 year five students from our local primary schools have been battling through the jungle in a Jumanji challenge. Participants we...re faced with four different challenges they had to overcome, each designed to build the 21st Century skills they will need in their future. The Jumanji challenge formed part of the Inspire Project, an innovative academic extension and enrichment program delivered by CLC to students in our local primary schools and forms part of the our STEAM focus. Students from Lakelands Primary School, Meadow Springs Primary School, Singleton Primary School and Oakwood Primary Schools' participated in the initiative. Now in its 21st year, National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual event when all Primary School children will be encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a Community Event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.

So many to thank Woolies Singleton for the donation of all the fresh produce. To the Staff and students who came early to school, to help set up and ensure the morning was a huge success. To Julie from Café Swift who commented on how impressed she was with all the students, their beautiful manners, and the wonderful vibe she felt with all the staff and community members. Finally, to all our students and families for coming along and making sure our annual WSTS breakfast was so successful.

01.01.2022 Secret Harbour Square, in conjunction with 4 local schools, introduced a community based campaign "NAIDOC- community story" in order to celebrate the diversity within our community and enrich our understandings of Aboriginal culture. Sylvia Lockyer, an indigenous author, developed a story book based around social cohesion and community. Students from rooms 1, 2, 5, 12 and 13 participated in a competition to illustrate 3 different pages within the story. Congratulations to Aaliyah, Crystal and Anthony on having their illustrations representing Singleton Primary School in the story book.
