21.01.2022 Hi Everyone, The Singleton Roosters AFC Annual General Meeting will be held at the Criterion Hotel on Sunday 21st of October 3pm, all senior and junior members are encourage to attend. With a number of current committee members stepping down there are plenty of opportunities for those interested in taking on a more active role within the club for season 2019. From a junior point of view it is important that the club continues to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for young players and this can not happen without committee members, please come along and show your support and if able offer to fill a committee role, a small contribution can make a huge difference.

18.01.2022 AFL NSW/ACT is inviting all Club and League volunteers to participate in our annual AFL NSW/ACT Volunteer Survey. The Survey aims to better understand the volunteer landscape within community football in NSW and ACT to provide further support to our valuable volunteers. Every individual who completes the survey goes into the draw for a chance to win a one of two $500 voucher for Hart Sport for the club as well as $50 Woolworths Wish Gift Card for themselves. The Survey will b...e open until Friday, October 12, 2018. Prizes will be drawn on Monday, October 15, 2018. 13.01.2022 All the best to our grand final players in tomorrows big games. Our U15s boys in the Lake Macquarie-Singleton Rockers team are on at 1pm. While earlier in the day, we have Tahlia and Sophie playing for Nelson Bay in the YG17s at 10am. All games are at Tulkaba Park, Teralba. All players have played some great footy to get to the grand final, good luck and most of all, enjoy the experience.... Come along and support our players and celebrate the last game of the year. 13.01.2022 Congratulations to our junior team 11Bs, what a season they have had!! They just fell short today by 16 points in the preliminary final, but it has been fantastic to see the team develop and play some awesome footy over the year. A big thank you to Coach Ashley and Team Manager Sarah for all the hard work that you have put in to the team during the season. Well done.

12.01.2022 The Hunter Academy of Sport is staging a Coaching Pathways Education Seminar series during October and November. This is a tremendous opportunity to learn from experts in the field and mix with other coaches from a range of sports. Who are the seminars for? All coaches. Covering both community level coaching and aspiring representative level coaching the workshops offer information for coaches of all levels across all sporting codes from an under 9s football coach to a repres...entative rugby head coach and a third grade foundation coach. What do the seminars include? Sessions will include Ssorts psychology plus strength and conditioning presentations as well as holistic coach education that can be applied across all sporting codes. 09.01.2022 Well done to Yarra Pappin and Lilly-Jane Williams, both making it into the Hunter Academy of Sport AFL development programs as well as being accepted into the Sydney Swans 2019 U12 Academy Programs. Congratulations, what a great opportunity.

Its fantastic to see the club being represented by teams and players at this stage of the finals, play to the best of your ability and most of all enjoy the experience. 04.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Thanks to some great efforts by Daine Cowburn one of senior stars, the club has won $1000 worth of footy's. The balls are going to be presented to the club today, by ex-Swans player Nick Davis. Time is 12 noon today, at Rose Point Park, if you are able to go along it would be fantastic.

03.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I received a message from the Hunter Academy of Sport that applications for the AFL male and female development programs close on Sunday 23rd September. For boys aged 9 - 12 years and girls aged 10 - 13 years, applications go to www.hunteracademy.org.au/nominations. Trials are on Sunday 30th September, 9am for the boys and 11am for the girls, at McKeachies Run Oval, Redgum Circuit, Aberglasslyn. Thanks to everybody for doing your bit for the club and selling the tickets, its fantastic to see some funds returned to the club via the AFL, and also some winnings in the form of a new car.
