Exercise Right Week has been created by Exercise & Sport Science Australia (ESSA) to promote the health benefits of exercise to help Aussies of all ages live more happy and healthy lives. Movement is medicine has never been more true in light of the present environment we are living in!... If you are needing assistance in finding ways to move more and get fit and healthy, contact our Exercise Physiologists today via Telehealth https://belgravialeisure.com.au//healt/telehealth-program/ OR access some great resources and movement tips at www.exerciseright.com.au/exercise-right-week-2020/

25.01.2022 Many of us have had to make changes to our everyday routines, including the ways we are moving. So, if you are finding some newfound tension in your back, you are definitely not alone! To help get you moving again, here are some great tips on how we can get up and move during the day from our Exercise Physiologists! Here are five great ways you can help you move more and reduce back pain:... 1. Set a movement reminder - Set a timer or reminder for every 30 minutes to move during the day or at work. 2. Break up your sitting time - If possible, try using a standing desk or getting up and getting some fresh air outside. 3. Dont go straight to the next episode - Try to get up, do some washing or stretches before you watch another TV series episode! 4. Go for a walk - Walking is a great low impact way to allow your body to move. Try and schedule in a 30-minute walk each day at lunchtime or before or after work. 5. Make time for exercise - One of the best things you can do for you back is exercise regularly! Now that leisure facilities are opening again, stretching and strengthening your back are fantastic options that can help with lower back pain and pain in general. Find out more on our website blog!
