14.01.2022 Out with the Old, making way for the new The Condemned Southern Viv Stewart GrandStand came down on the weekend. Built in the mid 1980’s, it has witnessed many a great game from Local Junior’s to the All Blacks V NSW Country in 1988. Thank you to all those who assisted on Saturday.

14.01.2022 Sad loss to the Rugby Community.

12.01.2022 HI All, Thanks again for all the work you are doing. In preparation for the first round this is just to keep you all up to date. Firstly, we need to ensure that... we limit crowd numbers and ensure that those that have travelled to Victoria or NSW hot spots remain in isolation and do not attend. The guidance from NSW Office of Sport and NSWCRU is now saying where possible one parent or guardian/ caregiver per player. This will mean that aunts, uncles, friends etc that want to spectate can not unless they are the person responsible for the player. Registered club volunteers that have an active role on game days ie coaches/ managers etc are not classed as spectators. All players, coaches, refs etc to ensure they bring their own drink or have separate drinks for players and at no time there is to be sharing of these between persons. All attendees will be expected to follow good hand/ oral hygiene i.e. sanitise hands cough into elbow etc and we remind those playing away that some clubs in their COVID plans require temp testing. We (singleton)have not undertaken this on guidance from NSW Health, NSWCRU and Singleton Council. Can I also remind of the importance of attendance registers as this has been used this week in a Junior Rugby League match in Sydney for contact tracing. I can only hope we never need to use it but we must have it. Canteen should be open with restrictions in place to ensure we comply with current regulations as well. There has been some guidance from HNE Health this is section copy from a HNEI staff email I wish to stress that Port Stephens, Salamander Bay and East Maitland are not locations that are currently listed in the exclusion criteria. At this stage, visitors and staff from these areas should not be denied entry or sent home from work. As above, they must remain alert for symptoms if they visited Salamander Bay Shopping Centre and the Windsor Castle Hotel in East Maitland on the aforementioned dates, and seek testing if symptoms develop, Michael Delerinzo CE HNE Health. Thanks again and lets have a great weekend of Rugby.

10.01.2022 In the last 24 hrs the State Government has put very strict controls on Junior Sport, only 1 parent is allowed to accompany a playing child. Inside the Rugby Club all patrons must sign in and limited numbers allowed. Tonight is the first night of sport for the Club, we need to ensure we are abiding by the strict controls in place. Upstairs is only allowed to hold 20 people as per guidelines, this has been set aside for Friday Night regulars, to allow access for downstairs se...rvice. Please ensure to maintain Social Distancing, obey Bar Staff and Covid Officer if asked. We cannot hold a massive crowd at present, so please be vigilant. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
