15.01.2022 It is my pleasure to offer my virtual community a little window into the magick and beauty that has been growing through this season of my Spiritsong choir. Far... more than a choir learning songs, I am continually inspired and honoured by the magick and the medicine that we weave and share each time we come together and circle. The cohesion, courage, care and tender authentic heartfelt song that wraps around us all is the juice that keeps me connected to my heart, to my voice, to the power of my words, and to my participation in feeding the Gods with eloquence.. I experience it to be profound in its nature, moments like this we are remembering our telepathy and trust, our magick and mystery, our abilities as priestesses and healers, we are making manifest the divinity of which is our birthright and I believe is the reason that we are actually sentient! 14.01.2022 The time has come again. Calling to the singers, the priestesses, the women who carry stories and dreams and words and songs, ones who is weaving with her Wild Self. This is an invitation to come on a journey. A journey through breath, through song, through harmony, through listening and attuning, through prayerful power and reverence. Through touch and tears, temples and caverns. ... I have a vision. One that involves brave souls whose skin becomes alive when they are singing. Who feels the magnification of the power when they stand beside other people baring their hearts through their song. For those who walk a sacred path. Who see themselves and bridge weavers, ritual makers, magic women. A place where we sing together, exploring sacred songs from across the globe, singing in the tongues of our ancestors. Singing in Spirit. Creating songs together. I wish to create with you a group of women who offer ourselves in service to the sacred. Singing within our communities. Invoking the ancestors, the elements. For newborns, for deathbeds, for ceremonies, for the waters, for healing, for empowerment, for inspiration. To sing means to use the soul voice. It means to say on the breath the truth of one’s power and one’s need, to breathe soul over the thing is ailing or in need of restoration. This is done by descending into the deepest mood of great love and feeling, till one’s desire for relationship with the wildest Self overflows then to speak one’s soul from that frame of mind. That is singing over the bones. - Clarissa Pinkola Estes Spiritsong Shamanic Womens Choir is an experiential workshop that offers a space where one is encouraged to open up to the sacred world of sound that resides within all beings. Through an array of voice inspired exercises, each woman will access the healing that resides within through the communion of sacred sound. We will come together each week, journeying through various teachings and techniques, portals and prayer forms, and learn songs together, weaving with harmony, heart and soul. Each session will be woven with vocal training, shamanic singing, and building a repertiore of songs that we will grow with together. We will also be exploring cultivating inspiration and crafting our own personal mantras. You do not need to be a professional singer to participate. 12.01.2022 Shamans say the Village Heart can grow a brand-new World House if it is well-dressed in the layered clothing of each indigenous soul's magic sound, ancestral so...ngs, and indigenous ingenuity. The wrecked landscape of our World House could sprout a renewed world, but a new language has to be found. We can't make the old world come alive again, but from its old seeds, the next layer could sprout. This new language would have to grow from the indigenous hearts we all have hidden. It shouldn't be the tongue of oneness, not one language, not a computer tongue of homogenization, but a diverse, beautiful, badly made thing whose flimsiness and inefficiency force people to sing together to keep it well-spoken and sung into life over and over again, so that nobody forgets to remember. We need to find gorgeous, unsellable, ritual words to reanimate, remeasure, rebuild, and replaster the ruined, depressed flatness left by the hollow failure of this mechanized, orphaned culture. For this, we need all peoples: our poets, our shamans, our dreamers, our youth, our elders, our women, our men, our ancestors, and our real old memories from before we were people. We live in a kind of dark age, craftily lit with synthetic light, so that no one can tell how dark it has really gotten. But our exiled spirits can tell. Deep in our bones resides an ancient, singing couple who just won't give up making their beautiful, wild noise. 10.01.2022 She Let Go... Without a thought or a word.. She let go.... She let go of the fear. She let go of the judgments. She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head. She let go of the committee of indecision within her. She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely.. Without hesitation or worry... She just let go. She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go. She didn’t search the scriptures. She just let go. She let go of all of the memories that held her back. She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward. She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right. She didn’t promise to let go. She didn’t journal about it. She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer. She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper. She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope. She just let go. She didn’t analyze whether she should let go. She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter. She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment. She didn’t call the prayer line. She didn’t utter one word. She just let go. No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations. No one thanked her or praised her. No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree.. She just let go. There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was.. and it is just that. In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her.. This two hour class is a wonderful chance to soothe your nervous system and relax into yourself. Settle into supported restorative yoga poses and allow the sacred sounds to carry you deep into relaxation and restfulness. This is a collaboration between myself and Tabatha Smith from Nourished Soul Now, who is a devotee of Restorative... Yoga. She will settle you into opening and refreshing restorative yoga poses while I will will play a variety of instruments, including the flute, tambura, harmonium and hung drum (handpan) and combine them with melodically sung mantra. WE have been collaborating for a while now, with our sessions often selling out, and people receiving deep and real respite and relaxation, inspiration and inner connection. A place where we sing together, exploring our elemental nature, leaning into listening to the shamanic dimensions of the living planet, and transforming this guidance into embodied creative wisdom that we can carry into our lives.
