The new address is 2 Basie Street (corner of Basie and Tolman) Please pass this message onto anyone you know that uses the library that doesn't have Facebook as there are a few, I have put a sign in my garden aswell
21.01.2022 Hi all, as the shops have been very busy and a lot of stock is gone from the shelves I thought I'd do a quick update and say that the pantry will still have food in it but I'll be keeping only a couple of each item in it at a time to make it fair for everyone. Also now is the time to come and grab a book with a lot of people staying home more than they would previously. Lots to choose from and more to add :)
20.01.2022 I did a book drop today at the parks around Sippy. Happy reading
20.01.2022 This weeks book selection, come and grab one to read while we're all stuck at home
19.01.2022 Thanks for everyone's continued support. Everytime I think I need to go and stock up on food for the pantry some gets dropped off. I really couldn't do it without help from the community. Know that it is going to people in need so it's very appreciated We also have plenty of books in both the timber fridge and the black cabinet. We are a little low on childrens books so it's harder to swap them over often but I try and swap the adults books around every few weeks
18.01.2022 Some limes have been dropped off, please come and get some, they smell amazing
17.01.2022 We have just picked up some baked goods from banjos sippy downs. If you or anyone you know are doing it tough and need some bread, breadrolls etc. Please message me. I can drop it off to you also
16.01.2022 If you need a new book to read please come and get one, there is no need to leave one in return at this stage. We have so many more books ready to be put out to replace the ones taken :)
14.01.2022 I still have plenty of loaves if bread here of anyone is in need
13.01.2022 The pantry and library is free. Anyone in need is always welcome to come and grab what they require. If you need assistance to get food to you please just pop me a message. I will endeavour to assist where I can. ... *** anyone wanting to contribute. Donations are always greatly appreciated *** New location is 2 Basie St on the corner of Tolman St.
12.01.2022 We have plenty more books in my garage if anyone wants one to read if you are stuck home more than usual. These haven't been handled at all in the past few weeks. Please let me know if there's a particular book you are after
11.01.2022 Today is my last day of running the library so we can get this house cleared out and ready to move. I will update this post with the new address once we've moved the library there
09.01.2022 Love seeing books come back that were ours over a year ago. The owl one was a first birthday present for my daughter so I'm happy to read this one again Is there anything in particular you are after? We have loads more books in the garage to swap over.
05.01.2022 It's always been our goal to get some land to raise our children on and the time has come for us to move from Sippy Downs. It's definitely bitter sweet as we have lived here for nearly 10 years. I really love the tight knit community here and it will be hard to lose that. On that note, is there anyone who would like to take over the pantry and library from me? If there's no one to take over I will have to take it with me to our new house, but I feel like it belongs in Sippy. We still have about a month before we finalise everything but I thought I should try and organise this ASAP
04.01.2022 Good morning ALL. The library and pantry has been very popular. We have had many visitors. Taking donating or exchanging.... If you are a 4x4 enthusiast. A stack of mags have come in. With borders opening it could be a great way to plan your next trip. There is also some yummy dinner inspiration for those keen to find some alternatives. *** Donations *** We always appreciate donations. Please if you have the means to donate food items. We would be so grateful. Dry goods. Tin good. Baking good. All welcome. Thank you to everyone that has liked, commented and shared our posts.
04.01.2022 Some body care packs going out into the pantry today, I won't put them all out at once so if there aren't any left when you get here please knock on the door, I'll have some inside
03.01.2022 I'm really hesitant to put this up but I have seen quite a few books from our library being taken and then sold on in bundles. The library is filled with donated books from the community and are meant to be enjoyed, not taken to profit from. I do realise that once they have been taken from the library they are yours and you are free to do as you want, and books were likely donated in place of them, but please if your intention is just to make money from them, leave them for some children to enjoy for free
02.01.2022 If there are any immunocompromised or any elderly people in our community that can't get to the shops I am happy to pick some things up from Woolworths if needed. I will be doing shopping on Saturdays or Sundays so I don't need to take my children. Please message me if you don't feel comfortable replying to this post
