22.01.2022 Residents spent the day searching for opals and learning about Lightning Ridge. We also watch the documentary on the Chambers of the Black hand. This is based on a opal mine turned into art.

22.01.2022 Meet our staff You may all recognise this beautiful lady behind the mask Kathy Diggs. Kathy has been at Sir William Hudson for 36years. Now she is a vital member of the RAO team Kathy runs the art on Fridays where her artistic flare creates great works with our residents. She also plays the piano and is our design and decorator for special event and Christmas. She is a very proud mum of four and has endless grandkids. Kathy is also very dedicated to her animals.

17.01.2022 Meet our staff This is our fantastic chef Greg Bligh he has been working for Sir William Hudson for almost 10years. Before working here he worked kitchens around Cooma. Training as a chef around 15years ago. Previous to working as a chef he was a cabinet maker and French polisher but decided on a career change. He is happily married with three grown up boys and 2 grandchildren. In his free time Greg likes to build model aeroplanes to fly, ride his motorcycle or bicycle and collect bonsai.

03.01.2022 Meet our staff This lovely person behind the mask is Margaret ( Margie) Burnett. Margie has been working for us for 1year and 7mths. She started as a carer and has moved into the RAO team. Our residents enjoy the sensory activity with Margie in the Bradman room. This uses all their 5 senses and Margie has witnessed some great reactions. Margie is a mum of one and came to us from the coast. She has been working in aged care for 14yrs. She enjoys four wheel driving and animals. She has a tea cup poodle Marli who comes to visit us on Saturdays and enjoys visits with residents, families and staff.

01.01.2022 Meet our Staff: This lovely lady is our Admin Coordinator Jasmyne Turner. Jasmyne has been working at Sir William Hudson for over 10yrs. She started in the kitchen as a cook and also worked in the laundry, cleaner and RAO. After doing this she moved into a carer position doing a certificate III in aged care at tafe. Three years ago she completed her Business Administration and was working in Admin but within a year she was promoted to Admin Coordinator. She now oversees t...he running of the office and organizes the rostering . Jasmyne is a mum of two boys and in her free time she enjoys taking her boys to the beach. She likes to read and enjoys a beverage or two .
