23.01.2022 What is the Rock-It Foundation? Well the face of this extraordinary women may seem familiar with our logo, and you would be right. Our logo and name was my way of keeping her as timeless as we always was. Jacalyn Williams tragically took her life September 28th 2017 just before her 27th birthday, waiting to be seen by our Mental Health system. ... Now she wasn’t just one of my closest longest friends, she was a daughter, a niece, a granddaughter, an amazing friend, an out of this world pole dancer & a god send to our community working with people with disabilities. The foundation was started by her amazingly strong mother Jenny (who became a pole dancer to be able to connect with her daughters only true love) & with help from the community & Jacx best friend Alex they have done amazing work helping people to cut those public wait times by funding their private mental health services. With speaking out about mental health and not being afraid to address the issue the foundation raises money through donations, merch and annual Pole Galas (which I hope we can host a few smaller ones in the future ) and now gone that extra mile by hosting their own Pole Comps (on hold due to Covid) As this foundation and the people running it are so close to my heart and my kids hearts as they both grew up with Jacx we want to do everything we can to support the incredible work they are doing. We have a Rockit Cocktail & Jacx Favorite dish she used to make with her mum with all proceeds going to the foundation. We also have Rockit reusable coffee cups & stubby holders on their way to us, again proceeds go to the foundation BUT also with any purchase of a coffee cup we will give you 10 FREE coffees just as a thank you for your support. Once open we plan to sell Rockit Merch (Online also) & I will forever be coming up with ideas to bring a little bit more of her into our Siren lives. Also one side of the courtyard to the other is greater then 4 metres so yes we can have food one side and smoking on the other, we are well within the Law and our rights to do so. No need to report to council about smoking in our courtyard. We know the rules, and we tell our customers the same. This could of been relayed if asked me personally instead of reporting it. I’m sure we all have... far greater stresses, council included. We are a Bar not a Cafe, we will have smokers and many drinkers. Thanks for understanding
