19.01.2022 This stuff is so cool! In an industry where size matters, Sirus has the big machines covered! This machine is a CAT SH660 HD Shield Hauler weighing 59.600T & has the lift capacity of 60T. It is designed for haulage of roof supports and the heavier ancillary components of the longwall.... When these pics were taken, we were removing & refitting the wheels as part of site specs (to ensure the wheels can be removed easily on site) & also conducting a weekly service for an upcoming hire at Cook Colliery. It's a Chock Trailer, or in other words, a Roof Support Trailer, which was brought into the workshop from one of the Bowen Basin mines for some routine repairs and maintenance. 01.01.2022 It's always a tricky time of year for road closures and wet season weather. We love the rain but we know it can get a bit dicey - especially for our mates driving in and out between the mines and town. If you're on the road, take extra care and keep an eye on Mackay Regional Council and Queensland Police Service notifications for the latest on hazards and road closures.... Remember: IF IT'S FLOODED FORGET IT. Don't take the risk. The Bureau of Meteorology is also a good site to keep and eye on and the phone app is handy.
