25.01.2022 Well that’s a wrap! Thank you to all of the Tassie Derby Community for sharing this weekend with us and Thank you Rosie Peacock and Optimus Grime we are so grateful, we learnt heaps, we had fun and we celebrated our sport! We loved our time with you.

21.01.2022 FRESHMEAT: NEW SKATER INTAKE Roller derby is one of the fastest growing (and awesome) sports in the world. Fun, fast paced, welcoming and full contact. This is your chance to get involved through the South Island Siren’s fresh meat course. No skating experience necessary as your Skate Vic accredited and dedicated coaches will teach you all the basics even if you’ve never put skates on your feet before! ... Not a skating novice? You're already ahead of the game! Our trainers can assess you and train your according to your skill level. The Sirens are a supportive, safe space, co-ed league so this course is open to all genders! Everyone over the age of 18+ is welcome. Gear can be provided for the duration of the course. Roller derby is always in need of referees (there are 7 required during games!) so if you fancy learning how to blow a whistle and tell people off then please come along too! Info night 29th Feb! Come along and get fitted for gear and meet the team. The Nitty Gritty Length: 6 week course starting 2nd March @ 5.15pm Location: YMCA Glenorchy Cost: $90 for full 6 week course. Can be payed in two $45 lots Insurance (mandatory): $30 for 1st 4-weeks (trial insurance) $55 to upgrade to cover the rest of the year Shoot us a message through the page to reserve your spot now as places are limited!
