13.01.2022 Last week the Dwight D Eisenhower Memorial was opened in Washington DC in the United States. President Eisenhower established People to People International, a non-government and non-profit organization (now Sister Cities International), to facilitate cross-cultural communication around the world through peace education via international travel experiences for students and adults. Known as the father of the sister city movement, his vision for the world has never been more relevant.
13.01.2022 So much to see, so much to do, so much to take part in... even if you can't get to Bunbury you can still join in the experience with the online workshops - which are FREE!
12.01.2022 Something to look forward to if you are in WA in September...

05.01.2022 A time for reflection and to examine the role we, in the sister cities movement, can do to ensure this never happens again.
05.01.2022 I was privileged today to visit Busselton and witness the planting of a second-generation Ginkgo Tree on World Peace Day. The Ginkgo tree was grown from seeds from a tree that survived the atomic bombing in Hiroshima in 1945, and still thrives today. The planting of the tree confirms Busselton's commitment to the Mayors for Peace initiative. Thank you to Erin and Casper Adson for your vision, Tonia Kilian for the invitation, Mayor Grant Henley - City of Busselton for the acknowledgement and support for the project, and Pauline Vukelic for helping to make it all happen.
04.01.2022 Congratulations from us at SCA on this great achievement and recognition.
03.01.2022 This article appeared in The Age newspaper in Melbourne today and they sought out comment from SCA as well as other prominent Victorian people involved with the sister cities movement there. This all stems from the announcement by the Prime Minister on Thursday about the investigation into foreign relationships and whether they impact on national security or are against the 'national interest'.https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/sister-cities-seek-clarity-on-proposed-national-interest-laws-20200827-p55pyn.html
02.01.2022 Fantastic work by St Marys College in Broome
