24.01.2022 Join us for our next meeting on Saturday 29 February 2020 from 12 noon in the Brisbane Square Library community meeting room. Our guest presenter from NSW is Lisa Walker. Her latest novel a YA crime novel is being released in February. She will talk about tensions and challenges of writing in her journey of six published novels across adult, young adult and now crime genres.

In light of our decision to have an annual vote/turnover of convenors, we are delighted to announce the 2020 Qld Sister line-up: Jen Bartlett will host the 2020 meetings, send the notice out beforehand and send out a quick overview after the meeting; Jo Beresford will support Jen as host, for any meetings that Jen can't host; Lea (Scott) and Robyn will... look after the Facebook notices; Helen, Sharon, Lea and Leigh are open to filling in if Jen and Jo both can't attend; Janelle will keep the national office (Lindy and Carmel) across anything they need to know; Janelle and Christine are joint signatories on the SINCQ bank account and will retain that 'treasurer' role. Her novel, Present Tense, won the Ned Kelly Award for Best Debut ...Crime Fiction announced tonight. She came to writing late she was 70 when the book was published by Clan Destine Press late last year.
