25.01.2022 The Islamic Council of Queensland is leading a series of joint initiatives with Muslim charities, mosques and organisations to provide funding and relief to the... parts of Australia being ravaged by bushfires. Please support the initiatives (see attached poster). All funds will be distributed via relief organisations operating in the affected areas. These are trying times for Australia. We ask you all to remain consistent in daily prayers for the safety and recovery of all Australian communities, wildlife and our environment. We acknowledge the countless volunteers across the country who are helping to fight these fires. Your sacrifices will always be remembered. 22.01.2022 Assalamu Alaykum Sisters support services with the Muslim community of Brisbane and Gold Coast are coming together again to raise funds for bushfire victims. This time our funds are going to NSW and Victoria. Sisters support and Brothers in need are teaming up to create a fundraising family event day. Asking for expressions of interest of anyone to provide food/desserts etc, small family/kids attractions for the day please contact myself Roxanne Arohanui via fb messenger. All proceeds will got to bushfire victims of Victoria and NSW.

20.01.2022 A new initiative to help those in need during these difficult times. The packs are available for purchase to be distributed to the most needy. If you would like to donate towards the purchase of these packs or alternatively; purchase a pack to give to an elderly neighbour or family struggling. They contain all the essential items. Packs are $50 per pack. Contact sister support for details.

18.01.2022 We are raising funds to support those people who have lost their homes, live stock, produce, equipment & everything in the recent Bush fires. Hundreds of wild animals have been injured including more than 350 Koalas killed in a sanctuary. Please donate generously to the accounts listed on the flyer.

06.01.2022 A great turnout for our Eid Family Picnic at Calamvale Park last Saturday. The Barbecue was cooked by Brothers in need & all the meat was donated by local butchers. Delicious desserts & salads all donated by generous members of the community. Table settings were beautifully decorated & sponsored by 'Picnic Events by Deena'. We would like to Thank all the dedicated volunteers & people who contributed to making the day a special celebration.

05.01.2022 Brothers in Need are still continuing their food distribution three nights weekly in Brisbanes CBD. The numbers of volunteers are however kept to a maximum of five. Contact sisters support for more info.
