25.01.2022 So going back into lockdown again got me feeling like a little comfort food today !So heres my fav healthy comfort recipe from @wickedhealthy cookbook Checkout @donellecrocker our naturopath for health inspiration Wicked healthy cheese sauce recipe Makes about 4 cups - double if making the Mac and cheese ... 1 cup cashews 2 cups chopped peeled butternut squash cup garlic cloves peeled approx 10 cloves 2 tablespoons rice vinegar 2 cups unsweetened soy milk 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast 2 tablespoons white miso 2 teaspoons sea salt 1 teaspoon smoked paprika teaspoon ground white pepper Half teaspoon ground white pepper 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper break Method Soak the cashews in hot water for an hour. Combined the drain cashews, squash, garlic, and vinegar in a medium sauce pot. Add water to cover (4-5 cups) and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer until everything is super soft and Mashable a proxy 10 to 15 minutes Drain and then pour the solid ingredients into a high-speed blender instead of blending low and slow. Increase the speed, and gradually add the soy milk. When the milk is fully incorporated, add the remaining ingredients and blend until super smooth, 3 to 5 minutes. Like a cream sauce smooth use immediately or refrigerate up to one week. ProTip: if you cook the sauce I will thicken up to adjust the consistency add more or less soy milk or another non-dairy milk. Wicked healthy baked Mac and cheese recipe This is one of my favourite meals, for when you feel like comfort food but also want to be healthy). Preheat the oven to 180 C. Toss 450grms, cooked gf pasta ( i recommend macaroni or swirls), with a quarter cup of olive oil. Then mix with 8 cups of the wicked healthy cheese sauce, stir in 2 cups of broccoli and other veggies you like, (my favourites are, cauliflower and green peas). Pour into aproximately 12 cup casserole dish, and top with a cup of almond meal, gluten-free Panko breadcrumbs, and crushed up, gluten free corn flakes, fresh Pasley. Bake that Mac daddy until nicely browned on top, for about 30 minutes. Servez 6-8. serve with lots of greens, fresh chilli or sriracha, fresh herbs and a protein like crunchy tempeh @ sisubotanicals

22.01.2022 Love getting feedback on herbal medicine. Herbal medicine is my first love, when prescribing and blending tinctures,I love to take in to account a holistic view of the patient, and of the herbs. Research, traditional use, energetics, chemistry. The beauty of herbal medicine is that we use whole herbs, the way nature intended. And we match these herbs to whole people, we listen to the story’s, including but not just the symptoms. Listening too, and working with the body.... Xx During these transitional times, during the restrictions, I want to remind you I am still here providing online care and advice. I have loved connecting to people for naturopathy consults via telehealth, sending herbal tinctures, teas, essences and what may be needed to help you feel better. You can find a link for appointments in our bio. Xx

22.01.2022 Open till 3pm ... come celebrate winter solstice with us xx

21.01.2022 We are in love with these beautiful, playful and unique pieces by @laura.makes.pots Then when we heard the story behind them, we loved them even more xx Welcome to the family @laura.makes.pots... I believe that clay is in my bones. My mother told me last year that she had a pottery wheel when I was a baby. She would throw while I was asleep. Whenever I cried, she would come inside to pick me up and end up with clay all over my and the cot. I picked up ceramics a year ago and it just felt natural to me, I've not stopped since. When Covid-19 broke out, I was living in London working full time as a curator at a major art museum. I was going through a divorce and my anxiety was at an all time high. I panicked and flew back to Melbourne to be with my family; unwittingly this ended up being a four month stay. To help me cope with this uncertainty, I set-up a pottery studio in my parent's garage in Fairfield. Ceramics became a central part of my life and of my healing. These pots are brimming with break-up feels, with family reconnection, with being unapologetically queer, and with self-love. I hope they bring strength and joy to their new owners. All pots are made from stoneware clay thrown on a wheel and hand-painted with glaze, fired twice in the kiln to ensure they are food-safe. 21.01.2022 I love the feeling in the room after herbal bodywork. To me it feels like magic. The room all cosy and warm, filled with the aroma of frankincense and sandalwood from the resins burned. Combined with the warming botanical notes from the herbal compresses. The candles flickering. The music still playing. Just Feels so relaxed. This beautiful old building holds some magic.... Its a blessing to be able to massage again. Xx

21.01.2022 Connecting with plant medicine Forgive me as I waffle, I’m trying to put into words how much I love sharing ways of connecting into plant medicine. As I try to explain I just feel side tracked by their beauty. My nanny use to say looking into nature is like looking into yourself.... There’s so many ways of connecting, many that do not cost a thing. Like going for a walk and allowing them to catch your attention. Then just observing, and noticing everything about them. Maybe just talking with your pot plants. Or taking your time to fully enjoy your cup of herbal tea. The list goes on and on. I love how especially in times of distress and transition, they remind us of the abundance of nature. The beauty of witnessing their continual change, reminds us of the beauty in ours. One of my favourites, is hanging some Passionflower or lavender on my bed frame. Each day I get to witness it, to connect, to watch it change, to dry, and to turn into a different form of itself. It’s a simple act inviting the magic of mother nature, in to your home, into your everyday rituals. Xx

We are just taking a moment to send out some love to all of the strong, compassionate and magic women out there.xx thanks for the tag @madeline.music. All about women supporting women. Im so grateful to know and be inspired by so many amazing women.... Important edit: when nominated in this challange I thought it was a way of bringing alittle love and appreciation to women. And encouraging women to celebrate themselves. I didnt realize it was spose to be highlighting the violence against women, murders of women in Turkey. My sincere apologies for not researching it fully, and taking away from the original important message. I removed tag as would prefer to leave it for the movements original important intent. I stand with my sisters fighting any violence against women in any country. Turkey has shockingly high femicide rate. 27-year-old student Pinar Gültekin was recently murdered at the hands of her former boyfriend. And this year alone, 27 women were murdered for similar motives; and a further 23 suspected femicides were recorded as well. @orlagilheany @jo_pepuere @lisarayoflight @emma_frances_walker @gardenofyoga @myraray @untitled.red @ladyabbie23 @kellygamble @katherinebowman.jewellery @elasticdesign @ginger.fuzz @sunmoonandstarsreiki @andy_pandy_bella @katie_the_kinesiologist @tinafoley and so so many more, I could seriously go on to long!! big love to all the amazing women out there spreading kindness and wisdom xxx thanks for the @lisaray
