18.01.2022 Sadly, at 2:45pm today, my Mother, mentor and great friend, Di Schaeffer passed away. Dad, my brother, Tony and I gave our final farewells in the ICU at the Roy...al Adelaide Hospital, supporting her to the very end. All Doctors and ICU nurses were fantastic but despite their best efforts, the speed with which she received treatment and Mum’s legendary fighting spirit she was not able to overcome the huge amount of damage caused by a massive heart attack sustained on Christmas night. ***UPDATE*** A celebration of Di’s life will be held at Sunburst Equestrian Centre, Darby Road, Echunga at 10:30am, Wednesday January 13 2021. Due to the COVID-19 capacity limit of 200 people, those wishing to attend must register with the Celebrant at: [email protected] by Saturday, January 9, 2021.
