18.01.2022 Wishing all of our wonderful clients and their families a Merry Christmas ! While our web and social media marketing yields good inquiries, we are still to this day overwhelmed by the frequency of new clients who have been directly referred by another ! The Subaru and EVO culture has blessed us with what must be the most enthusiastic yet friendly genre of people, they are as diverse as the cars we all drive yet in general so rational and pleasant! I personally have the S...&J crew to thank for the elite level of care and expertise that our clients are privy to, and at twenty six years in I’ll take this opportunity to introduce them all: Matty has been integral in the evolution of S&J from the turn of the century, and to this day will drop anything to help anyone, with unrivalled enthusiasm. I could comfortably say that Matty would have worked on as many individual Subarus, and in turn gained and utilises his immense experience as any other technician Australia wide, and yet loves his job as if he started last week! Reecey was an S&J client who proudly joined the crew through an MTA apprenticeship in 2009, his immaculate and concise nature has fitted well with, and complimented our team, Reece is also our resident gearbox expert who deals with an ever widening range of OEM and PPG builds! Dan, our eldest son joined the family business (for good he often says) in 2011! The relationships we have forged with our key parts suppliers have given us quite a few opportunities to compete within various categories of motorsport at state and national levels. While Dan has been fortunate enough to be the team driver in most cases, he has emerged as one of the finest motor mechanics, and race car drivers I’ve ever had the pleasure to know and work with. Dan is the performance engine builder at S&J, with his finest qualities being poise and attention to detail! Zoe joined us almost four years ago, spending the first two in the workshop filling the role that was vacant at the time, predominantly doing head gasket and short motor replacements among handbook servicing and general repairs. I’m now lucky to have Zoe managing the office duties with me and more recently utilising her electrical background, organisation skills and even OCD to be the first person ever to assist me with EcuTeK Tuning duties! Jason is our newest crew member, and came to us with a variety of complimentary skills in fabrication and three years of Subaru Dealership experience, only a few months in, but without question he’s a keeper! Just like Reece and Zoe, Jason started S&J life as a client, but all the way back in 2005! Mark is my age and since the morning we met on our first day of trade school in April 1986 has been my best friend, we’ve been lucky to have had Mark contracting his immense variety of skills to us for over twenty years on pretty well a weekly basis, like with the rest of the crew S&J wouldn’t what it is without Mark!
