The big pacific and its classmates were regular runners on the Main Southern Line, providing motive power for everything over the years from the prestigious named expresses to lowly goods trains.

All of you who guessed green and red as the colours for our restored locomotive were on the money - with a fresh coat of paint, this 77 ye...ar old locomotive is looking brand new. We have a bit of work to do before you see it puffing up the hill but we think it’s safe to say we’ll be the only ones on Santa’s nice list looking forward to coal under the Christmas tree this year!
