25.01.2022 How adorable are these!

24.01.2022 So this year my son attended a pilot program called Kindilink at our local primary school. The program is designed to get kids ready for a School/Kindy environment and, whilst we got a group photo done with the rest of the school, we were a little disappointed that we weren't able to get individual photos. And lets face it, 3/4 year olds aren't particularly easy to photograph for a portrait! So I put my hand up to do some individual portraits with the kids in our group and they came up brilliantly. I worked on colour matching the backgrounds to the professional groups photos so that the parents with older kids who attended school could have similar photos. My boy is such a poser as you can see!

21.01.2022 I had a great deal of fun with this shoot. Our smallest subject was determined not to smile but we managed to sneak a smirk out of him and with the older kids, horsing around and making jokes about pink undies and cuddling your siblings helped get some natural smiles in minimal time.

21.01.2022 Today I had a lovely morning with the lovely Linda from Linda Rae Creations getting pampered with a lovely artistic belly painting. I wanted something this time round that represented the personal journey I'm facing overcoming a rather traumatic birth experience last time and being a big fan of the Pheonix, I put her belly bump painting skills to the test and she delivered a wonderfully intricate design that I was sad to wash away later in the day! 18.01.2022 Today marked my 34 week mark and given its also the first game of the State of Origin, I thought what better way to celebrate than to paint my belly and have some fun photos with my boy. He even had a phew photos of his own, playing up to the camera! While painting my own belly was challenging, I think I did allright reproducing the NSW "Baby Cockroach" mascot.

14.01.2022 A tender moment between siblings Sorry I've been a bit quiet on the page lately! I've been focusing on building the face-painting and plastercraft side of things over the last year so have pulled back a little from this side.... I am aware that there are a few people who may have been hoping to get photography done through Limitless and, due to the recent tragedy, they may not be able to get their time-sensitive photos done. Here at SJB I understand that some photos (such as newborn, pregnancy or milestone) can't wait and would like to offer any limitless clients who require an urgent studio shoot my studio to get these done. Obviously my photography and editing style does differ quite a bit from the wonderful Katryna so I'm happy to work with you on angles that you like from her portfolio and make a set of RAW files available to her for editing when she is back in action. Please note, you will still receive edited photos per my package, this is just an optional extra should you prefer her style of editing and they will be provided to her on request when she is ready and caught up with her backlog. They won't be provided to any clients to ensure that Katryna is not harassed during her period of mourning.

10.01.2022 My second last shoot before I went on Maternity leave was an absolute hoot! These 4 brothers aren't particularly good at sitting still so their mother was a bit worried about how a traditional shoot would turn out. So we decided to do a coloured powder shoot to try and capture the boys having fun. They weren't too keen on smiling for me but we managed to get some great sequences of shots before they went completely mental with the paints and before the rain started coming dow...n! I'm very happy to be able to deliver these beautiful shots to their mum.

07.01.2022 This was my last shoot before I went on maternity leave and we almost didn't get it in after this wee man decided he was rather comfortable in mums tummy! We had to work fast to capture the love his big brother has for him but we managed a few gorgeous shots with this gorgeous pair of brothers. Congratulations guys!

Today I thought I'd snap a few quick natural light photos to celebrate her due date milestone. 06.01.2022 We've done almost every milestone together (except the wedding!) but now one of my good friends and favourite clients is heading back to NZ with her little family! So we thought what better way to catchup before she left with a quick photoshoot out at the 2 Up Shed (where she'd never been before!) Her gorgeous little girl was all smiles and so very photogenic! Best wishes to these 3 as the travel across the pond!... Note: A few people have been asking if I'm back from maternity leave yet. At this stage I am still on leave but am looking to open a few slots up before Christmas. Keep a lookout for an announcement soon.

06.01.2022 Have you been out to Hannans North Tourist Mine lately? We popped out there today and were excited to see much more open than our last visit! The team are doing a great job! Our son was very excited in the 2 up ring where he discovered some fake money which he immediately used to "make it rain"! LOL

06.01.2022 So lately our roses have been over-run with aphids! And much to my son's delight we've had some tiny spotty superheros come to save us from them. Did you know that an adult ladybird will eat some 50 aphids a day, and that a single ladybug will eat up to 5000 aphids in their lifetime?

01.01.2022 OK, I promised big news, so here it is! Drumroll please.... Super Sarah & Friends has taken over the plaster craft business from Krafts by Katrina AND we now ha...ve a shop space where your kids can come to paint (we even have a couch for mums and dads to take a load off)! Its all bit pop up at the moment but we have big plans to turn it into a permanent fixture with lots of other craft activities and party hire provided you guys love us and want to keep us! To get the ball rolling we will be opening THIS WEDNESDAY (the 25th of January) with some Australia day plasters (but don't worry all our other plasters are available too!) and will open Friday and Saturday too! Head on down to 26 Burt Street Boulder (right next to Chakra Tree) and relax while your kids paint!

01.01.2022 Today I took a special photo of a very lovely Local family. I had a secret agenda when I spotted them laying the wreaths as I had taken a photo of them about 3 years ago with "Pa" and I wanted to replicate that photo for them to update their photos. I didn't realise their "Pa" (an ex-serviceman) had actually passed away shortly after my last photo was taken and it was one of the last photos they had of him. So i decided to do something very special for them and I took a new p...hoto of the family and inserted Pa so they could have a really beautiful image. I hope its something they can treasure for many years to come. Lest we forget.
