Bluey started playing senior cricket in 1985 under the guidance of his Uncle Bernard. His 420 games provide an amazing statistical read. Bluey has scored 7241 runs with 13 centuries and 42 half centuries. His highest score is 177 v Lara in the 4ths. It also includes a century in the fir...sts with 110 against North Geelong. Bluey has also taken 311 wickets at an average of 14.7 with a best bowling performance of 7/61. Bluey has played in 15 senior Grand Finals winning five and captained our seconds to a premiership against Newtown & Chilwell in 2002. Bluey continues to have a hit in the fourths, still loving the team aspect and club comradery of the game that cricket provides. Off the field Bluey has continued the outstanding volunteering effort of his parents Barry and Felicity who have each volunteered for more than 50 years. He has been Treasurer since 1991, and behind the scenes, cleans the clubrooms and prepares the club for the day with his boys Paddy and Will every Saturday morning, and then returns every Sunday to repeat the process. The record was previously held by Barry McFarlane, who congratulated Chris by saying Chris has been a great contributor to the club, on and off field. I am proud, that if anyone was to break the record, it would be Chris. Felicity McFarlane who has also volunteered at the club for over 50 years added His dedication to the club and the wonderful friends he has made there is a joy to both Barry and I From all at St Joeys congratulations Chris on this amazing achievement.
