24.01.2022 To All Our Valued Patients. In light of the recent development regarding the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we wish to advise that we will continue to place you and your family's health at the forefront with treatment procedures at our practice. As a practice, we would like to reassure you that your safety is of paramount importance to us, and in addition to strict adherence to high infection control standards, we have also implemented the following changes to further reduce t...he spread of COVID-19. - Alcohol-based hand sanitiser at reception to be used by everyone entering the practice. - The removal of all magazines, newspapers and books. - Increased cleaning and disinfecting frequency of our waiting room. - Social distancing of waiting room seats. - The choice to wait in your car for your appointment. All staff have successfully completed an 'Infection Control Training Course - COVID 19' with the Australian Government Department of Health. In addition, please be assured that NONE of our practitioners or staff have travelled overseas within the last four months, and all staff have been thoroughly briefed on the importance of attending work only in the absence of any cold like and respiratory symptoms. As health professionals, we would like to unequivocally state that the following changes have been implemented in our practice largely to help protect the vulnerable people in our community and reduce the burden on our health system. We appreciate that most people infected by COVID-19 will exhibit mild symptoms, so we would like to encourage the community to continue to practice good hand hygiene habits, social distancing, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, and stay at home if you are sick. In accordance with official recommendations from the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Government, if you or someone you have been in contact with has returned from interstate or overseas recently, or if you have any of the following symptoms, please phone the surgery on 8552 7200. - High temperature - Coughing - Sore throat - Shortness of breath - Runny nose We thank you for your understanding in controlling the spread of COVID-19 in our community and we hope this virus does not touch you or your family.
