The opportunity to sell direct to customers offer not only a fair price for their products, but also a chance to develop personal relationships with their customer base, many of whom return week on week. Farm to fork is good for both producers and consumers. For consumers, it’s a great way to know the process with their food, to conn...ect with the person that grows them and to really understand where their food has come from. The main focus of our weekly market is to assist our SJFM family to make the most of the market opportunities, through education, developing an online profile directory, promoting a local network and to connect local producers to our community. Consumers see their food source and what goes into the seasonal production. It allows a fantastic space and place for the community to connect every week, it lowers food miles and strengthens the local economy. You can’t get better than a #farmersmarket! See you Saturday!
