12.01.2022 . S E L F C A R E S A T U R D A Y . In the midst of moving house, packing boxes and ticking off endless check lists, I am reminded to take moments for myself to ....just breathe... .... Self care practises as simple as taking a moment to come back into our breathe; so we can ground through our roots and re centre in our hearts; are essential for us all in the busyness of our everyday lives. They help us stay balanced and be able to feel the joy's of life. See more

10.01.2022 Y O G I T I P #3 M E D I T A T I O N T O B R E A K A D D I C T I O N . Posture: Sit with your spine straight. ... Focus: Eyes closed & focused at the third eye point. Breath: Natural breath. Mantra: Mentally repeat the mantra, Sa Ta Na Ma. Lock the back molars together & keep the lips closed. The molars will alternately tighten, then release; right then left, then right and continue, one syllable for each movement of the molars. Sa Ta Na Ma are the root syllable sounds for our Kundalini Yoga seed mantra Sat Nam which translates to I am truth & is used as a way of invoking our highest truth, our Higher Self & Infinite Nature. Mudra: Make fists of your hands. Extend the thumbs straight & place the thumbs on the temples. Find the niche where the thumbs fit just right. As the molars alternately tighten & release you should feel the movement under the thumbs at the temples. Keep a firm pressure applied at the temples. Keep the mouth closed. Mentally vibrate & hear the mantra, Sa Ta Na Ma, coordinating the mantra with the subtle movement of the jaws. Time: 3-5 minutes. With practice the time can be increased ultimately to 31 minutes. End: Inhale deeply, then hold your breath for 20-30 seconds, exhale & relax. Benefits: This is a powerful & effective meditation to break addiction. Yogi Bhajan predicted the meditation; will become well known to the future medical society. Meditation will be used to alleviate all kinds of mental & physical afflictions. But it may be as many as 500 years, however, before the new medical science will understand the effects of this kind of meditation well enough to delineate & measure all its parameters. The pressure exerted by the thumbs triggers a rhythmic reflex current into the central brain. This current activates the brain area directly underneath the stem of the pineal gland. It is an imbalance in this area that makes mental & physical addictions seemingly unbreakable. But this meditation is effective to address the imbalance in this pineal area to restore the radiance of the pineal gland itself. It is this pulsating radiance that regulates the pituitary gland. Since the pituitary regulates the rest of the glandular system, the entire body and mind can go back into balance. The Teachings of Yogi Bhajan

09.01.2022 I am sharing this beautiful image by @karina_christie_ shared by @ajeetmusic . I just love the synchronicity . I started my own project called Dance of the Moons many moons ago, and put it on hold for several years, to focus on my family. It started calling me again at the start of the year. So I have been slowly receiving little downloads for it each moon. This project is still percolating for me and will need more time before fruiting. But I was blown away when one of my... absolute favourite kundalini yogini artists launched her album Lunar, with a track called Dance of the Moon!!! It was such a divine confirmation for me to keep this project alive! . . The story of the image is that it was inspired by dancing to the song (@karina_christie_ danced) in the music video for it! 03.01.2022 . D I D Y O U K N O W ? . Over time my practice has evolved a lot! .... 15 years ago when I did my Kundalini Yoga teacher training & was living in a Kundalini Yoga Ashram near Brixton in London, I woke up each morning at 4.45am for my cold shower, Ishnaan Therapy, to start my 2.5 hr Aquarian Sadhana practice at 5am! . I was dedicated & diligent! And I needed to be. It was a powerful time where I broke through layers of addiction, blocked energy, trauma & grief. . Over 7 years ago, motherhood radically changed my daily practice. Daily sadhana was still my staple, but it had to adapt & become more flexible & fluid. And it had to squeeze into my son’s 40 minute sleep cycles! . Since then things have evolved again. I am approaching my mid 40s, my body has intelligently communicated with me to soften my approach in my practice & my intuition has been to allow a more feminine flow to the kundalini yoga kriyas that can be quite rigorous & masculine/yang in nature. . With the unmasking of the Yogi Bhajan Guru complex of recent times, I celebrate the liberation of the sense rigidity within the Kundalini Yoga practice & community. It gave me an outer permission to trust what my intuition had already told me. . Now more than ever as we move into the 5d shift, it is time to TURN INWARDS, FIND & TRUST THE GURU WITHIN. .
