The main symptoms of PTSD are: - Re-living the traumatic event through distressing, unwanted memories, vivid nightmares and/or flashbacks. - Avoiding reminders of the traumatic event, including activities, places, people, thoughts or feelings that bring back memories of the trauma.... - Negative thoughts and feelings such as fear, anger, guilt, or feeling flat or numb a lot of the time. - Feeling wound-up. This might mean having trouble sleeping or concentrating, feeling angry or irritable, taking risks, being easily startled, and/or being constantly on the lookout for danger. These changes have been made in the best interests of you, your family, our patients, our staff and are in line with NSW Health guidelines. From 25 July, we ask that patients have one designated visitor for the duration of their stay. All visitors will be required to wear a mask on entry and can expect to be screened on arrival. We thank you in advance for your support. Visiting hours are 6:30-7:30pm weekdays and for one hour between 12-4pm on weekends.
