We are so proud of the positivity and support that you and your families have given us throughout @Home Learning. It's been tough at times, but we have come out the other side stronger and more resilient. As a staff member, but also as a parent at the school, I wanted to thank our staff for the tremendous work they ha...ve put in to make sure our children continued to learn and thrive and the support they have given to our children and families during this time. Thank you Enjoy your holidays!! Here's a little something from us, to our very special kids

21.01.2022 Last week we celebrated Catholic Education Week within our diocese. The theme for 2020 was "listen to what the spirit is saying". Well, for this little project we listened to what the students were saying about their school. We all feel so lucky to be apart of such a fantastic school, and to work with these amazing children every day. A big thank you to Miss Boyle for putting this video together

20.01.2022 Tomorrow is World CleanUp Day. As restrictions have eased for us in Regional Victoria, let's get outside and clean up our beautiful part of the world. Another area that probably needs a spring clean are our digital devices.

19.01.2022 The P-1-2 class read the book "Three"' for Book Week and made garden dioramas! To make your own diorama, you will need: - a box- tissue paper - pva glue - air dry clay - permanent markers - card board - textas/pencils - & optional pom pom ( for a spider! )

16.01.2022 And thats a wrap! What a year it has been. We are so incredibly proud of our children and their families for being the most resilient and just all round amazing people through @Home Learning. Thank you to our magnificent staff, who go above and beyond for our children everyday. Today was a mixed day of excitement and sadness. Today we said goodbye to our grade sixes. We will miss them terribly, but we know they will love secondary school and we wish them every happiness in ...the world. We also said goodbye to Mr U and Miss Walker. We have been extremely blessed to have had them both at our school over the past 4 years. We wish you both all the very best at your new schools, but it wont be the same without you at ours. We are excited to welcome Mr H to our school and Katie Calvert teaching with us again and we also have new families and students starting with us next year and we cant wait to welcome them into our amazing little school. Today we were treated to a yummy lunch, treats and movie. Thank you Mrs Patience, you have spoiled us! The kids recieved gifts from their teachers, and the library was like Chritmas Day! Excitment, smiles, gifts and wrapping paper everywhere! Well, we wish everyone a very safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to a wonderful 2021!! See more

14.01.2022 Persistence Pays Off! Some 18 months ago our students embarked on a campaign for the Shire/State to install electronic 40km signs on the main road outside our school. This led to petitions being signed around the town of Penshurst which was then tabled at State Parliament. Late last week we recieved some correspondence from Mr Dan Tehan's office which indicated that there was a 'Pedestrian and Safer Schools Package' and that allocated funding had been given to Penshurst! Th...erefore we will be getting electronic 40km signs installed in the near future. Below is a snippet of the letter we recieved. The students and the town of Penshurst should be extremely proud of the initiative and advocacy of these signs. We also would like to thank our former local police officer Shaun McCulloch who played a pivital role in this along with Mr Tehan. Thank you to all the local businesses who let us keep our petitions in their shops. The end result was what we set out to achieve, but the bigger picture is that this will make our community safer. Well done to all involved! See more
