17.01.2022 Here at Sunshine Kindy, Early Years Learning and Care Centre we would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where we live. We pay respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and recognise they are the first people of Australia We are so lucky to have such wonderful, generous and supportive families whom we get to know so well over the years and share many experiences, cultures and traditions.... This year one of our recent experiences was with the Chalmers Family and sharing their family culture, beliefs, customs and traditions with SK community. This was posted to our facebook, we are so proud and wanted to share with our entire SK community Well Done Jayden, Harley & Family we are all so proud of you and look forward to seeing what you achieve for years to come Hello all :) So every year there The Milpra region Aboriginal art showcase is held at Casula powerhouse. There are 2 categories for prizes; adult and school entries. The theme each year is consistent with the NAIDOC theme, this year the theme being "BECAUSE OF HER WE CAN". This year Harley and Jayden spent time with their nan and aunties (and pop helped a little) to make a beautiful piece of work which has been entered into this years showcase on behalf of all the lovely faces of Sunshine Kindy, especially all the beautiful ladies and girlies!! So fingers crossed that we might win some sweet prizes for SK!! More info about the event can be found on the casula powerhouse website :) The boys thankyou all for your support
