20.01.2022 NEWS FLASH: Skateboard Australia decide to fix the shambles they left skateboarding in by hiring somebody fluent in rugby league, tennis, golf, roller skating, baseball, tenpin bowling, martial arts and basketball. Pity he has no experience in SKATEBOARDING. Hey Greg, Welcome to Skate Australia. Your parasitic organisation still owes skateboarders prizes from the event they cancelled.

19.01.2022 Wasn't entirely true for Skate Australia to blame the federal budget on why their amateur series got cancelled. Soon after this release went live a former employee released that this wasn't in fact true. Even though Skate Australia were forced to retract the statement blaming the federal budget because it was not true. This did not help any of the entrants with useless travel plans to the finals. Skate Australia didn't honour the prizes of the winner sod the qualifiers either. Even though flights were advertised, Skate Australia did not provide them to the rightful winners.

19.01.2022 Anybody got any skate Australia horror stories to share? Maybe you booked flights or accom for the cancelled finals of the Australia championships they advertised? Maybe you won a flight to the finals in a qualifier they didn't honor? Maybe you got banned from their Facebook for constructive criticism? Maybe you find the fact they are almost insolvent even though getting $1.5 million a year in grants is the work of incompetent simpletons? Maybe you are just against non skater...s that set up systems to leech skateboardings federal funding without giving a voice or any democratic process for skateboarders to influence the direction of government funded skateboarding? Maybe you are just a taxpayer that's sick of money being wasted on cancelled competitions and cushy jobs for non skateboarding administrators? Don't hold back. 16.01.2022 In 2012-13 Skate Australia spent: $81,500 in Athlete Development and Competion Pathways for Speed Skating. They spent $582,500 on Athlete Development and Competition Pathways for Inline Hockey, They spent $270,000 for Athlete Development and Competition Pathways for Artistic Roller Skating. In 2012-13 Skate Australia, the National Organisation for Skateboarding received almost $1.5 Million in Grants, yet they spent no money on Athlete Development and Competition pathways fo...r Skateboarding. 15.01.2022 Skate Australia won’t go away. But you can do something about it! Please take a second to write a note to one of the councils that keeps the non skateboarders at Skate Australia laying claim to skateboarding and taking YOUR tax dollars in the meantime. If you were perhaps a winner of one of the advertised prizes they didn't honour, or perhaps you had useless travel plans from Skate Australias last minute cancellation of their SBA Nike Amateur titles. Maybe you are just disgu...sted that a group of non skateboarders run the organisation with your tax dollars; Then please take the time to contact the councils below and complain. 15.01.2022 Big Shoutout to Keegan Palmer who won the Bar Beach Bowl Riders Bowl contest on the weekend. Its a skate crime that Skateboard Australia, even after the millions of dollars grant money they have had from the government the last ten years have given so little support to bowl skating (we don't recall them ever doing a bowl contest open to the public). Big ups to all the Newy crew and volunteers for your commitment to bowl skating and delivering a great comp.

11.01.2022 What a sad state of affairs that a taxpayer funded body for skateboarding has been given approx $10 million over the past decade, largely in taxpayer funds, and some in sponsorship, yet they have never given skateboarders a voice. Skateboarders have never been afforded access to full membership and a right to vote. Stay tuned for more facts and information on what you can do to DEMAND CHANGE.

11.01.2022 You may of heard of Skate Australia... Skate Australia is a government funded organisation run by non skateboarders who admitted in a release last week that skateboarders do not have a voice in the direction of their organisation or any decisions to do with skateboarding. Skate Australia gets $1.5 million dollars in grants and funding last financial year. Even so, this insipid operation is on the brink of insolvency. Skate Australia employed some dedicated skateboarders until... recently mass firing them breaking any connection they had with any passion for skateboarding. Pat Wallace is the President of Skate Australia. Skate Australia continue to claim to be the official government funded voice and organisation for skateboarding. They will continue to take tax payers funds in the name of being the official body for skateboarding. We need Change! Note: we are a group of people committed to making skateboarders and taxpayers aware of this injustice doled out to skateboarders taxpayers and skateboarding.

Please note Skateboarding Australia: You don't need a million dollars in grants to deliver a skateboard contest, all you need is a commitment and some passion for skateboarding. 06.01.2022 When the Canberra Stop of the SBA Nike Am Titles were cancelled, Skate Australia encouraged riders wishing to qualify for their finals in Melbourne to go to the Northern Territory, Queensland and Sydney to Qualify. Many skaters did, only to have the finals that everyone was shooting for and the last two qualifiers cancelled. Hundreds of skaters wasted their time. Parents wasted money. Skateboardings reputation took a big hit in the eyes of sponsors, parents and stakeholders. Skate Australia took a shit on Australian skateboarding. Make sure you remember. Skate Australia are trying to rebuild. They want to get government funding in 2015.

05.01.2022 We wonder if the rollerskaters at Skate Australia that baited the Australian skateboard community to come to the qualifiers of the Nike SBA Amateur series that they couldn't finish (and didn't honor the prizes for) will be watching the Tampa Am this weekend? Not likely.

04.01.2022 Its Official. The taxpayer funded body Skate Australia that takes about a million dollars in taxpayer funds and grants has no skateboarders working for them. If you have something to say to them you can catch them in the queue applying for tax payer funded grants for skateboarding in 2015.

04.01.2022 We still can't believe that this person is the president of Skate Australia. They never made a public comment to Skateboarders. Even when the National Series fell over and the Organisation was on the brink of insolvency Dr Pat Wallace did not feel the need to apologise or speak to the people she supposedly leads.
