21.01.2022 Today's racing has been cancelled due to hazardous air quality. The index is showing over double the safe level, so thank you to the officials for making the best possible decision for the health and safety of skaters. Due to rain forecast for tomorrow, track events have been moved to Wednesday and Thursday. Road events will now be held Friday and Saturday when the forecast is for minimal chance of rain.

04.01.2022 URGENT UPDATE - EVENT POSTPONED! Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the upgraded travel advice from the Australian Government as well ...as the entry requirements being put in place by the NZ Government, it has been decided to postpone the 2020 World Skate Oceania Inline Speed Championships. This was not an easy or simple decision as we know the amount of training the athletes have been undertaking in the lead up to this event. We will provide further information as soon as possible.

04.01.2022 Thanks for the great, suggestion Stuart. Who else is keen for some online Skater catchups? Message from Stuart Cowin: As we are all in uncharted waters with no end date to when skating training/racing will re-commence, we must also adapt to the new conditions. Something we have been using for cycle coaching is a video conferencing app Zoom where all members log on together for a visual training session from the saftey of their own homes or if desired local park. My suggest...ion(& it is only a suggestion, others might come up with better ideas), all clubs nation wide hold dry skate sessions, which can allow skaters from anywhere(once approved) to join into other club sessions, mingle, have fun & train/catchup together and help skating stay moving forward, keeping some social aspect to our sport we all love so much. If someone could re-post in Skate Australia etc. would be much appreciated Stay well See more
