09.05.2022 As its Volunteer Week, it's a good time to mention that Skate Victoria, provides subsidised "First Aid Training" for Club Volunteers, up to the value of $500 per affiliated club. 07.01.2022 From the Historical Archives.. 41 years ago .. Boxing Day, 1979, was the day when a brand new skating rink in Raglan St, Sale called SALECITY, opened up. The articles here, will take you on a journey, back down memory lane, to the late 70's/early 80's, to a Regional Victorian Gippsland skating rink. Sadly, the rink did close down at some point in time.... As an article states "Skating is fun for the young & not so young", somethings never really do change in roller sports ... even 41 years later, this statement is still relevant today. If you skated at the Sale rink, the Traralgon or the Moe rink, which are also mentioned in the articles or another Australian rink which have sadly closed, feel free to share your skating memories or photos, here in this post.
