14.01.2022 Our wonderful industry is suffering badly.... If you have an opportunity to support events/venues in your area, please know it all helps - even if it's supporting venues who are presenting solo artists instead of your favourite band/show, they are trying to keep the industry alive. Without support of these venues now, the future looks bleak. Check out what your local has to offer https://www.smh.com.au//in-crisis-sydney-live-music-venues

10.01.2022 Moving forward. A statement from Save Our Stages NSW: Friday 20 November 2020: Following yesterday’s NSW Legislative Assembly debate of the Save Our Stages NSW ePetition, we are buoyed by the government’s invitation for our representatives to meet with them, and look forward to discussing the issues in person soon. We would like to thank the speakers at the debate who so eloquently spoke on our group’s behalf including the Member for Sydney, Alex Greenwich, the Member for Swa...nsea, Yasmin Catley and the Member for Newtown, Jenny Leong. Without urgent financial assistance from the NSW Government, we will soon see many of our live music venues forced to permanently close and with them, thousands of jobs will be lost. This will not only be devastating for the music industry, but also our Night Time Economy, regional and metropolitan communities and the wellbeing of NSW residents. We would also like to thank the people of NSW for their incredible support in getting us this far including over 28,000 signatures received to our ePetition and for the 6,600 letters that have been sent to local MPs in support of our live music industry. We now stand by for further urgent discussions with the government and are hopeful for a rescue package to be provided soon to help save our stages before it’s too late. See the debate on the NSW Parliament's YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDO9_fGnYik&feature=youtu.be See more
