22.01.2022 SKIN & MASKS Unfortunately we arent talking about the lush kind of mask that gets painted on & hydrates youre skin! We are talking about the protective masks that are now mandatory in most of Melbourne at the moment! . . So many of my clients have messaged me asking for advice on how to keep our skin happy while wearing this protective gear. I thought I would share some advice so your skin can still be happy under pressure .... . . Having constant contact on the skin with different fabrics can not only cause irritation and dryness but can also block our pores from secreting oil as it needs to & can effect the barrier of your skin, effecting the immunity of our skin. Here are some tips of how to keep your skin clear, hydrated & happy! . . Make sure you are cleansing every AM & PM with a cleanser that isnt too striping & can give back to the skin! If you are becoming irritated or developing excema or dermatitis from your masks you may want to try another fabric or pop a tissue between the fabric & your skin. If you are washing your masks, ensure you are using gentle & organic washing powders. Protect your skin from within, lots of water, essential fatty acids & zinc. Barrier protecting creams are a great idea - to boost the immunity of the skin & protect it but stick away from thick, greasy moisturisers. Do not touch the outside of your mask once it is on. I wanted to take this opportunity to talk about the steps I will need to take ensure the safety of yourselves, my colleagues & myself. Firstly, I will be wearing a mask & gloves for all treatments. Hand sanitiser will be provided for each client upon entering the treatment room & when leaving. All equipment will be once use only & or sterilised. I ...will be taking every precaution to clean the treatment room after every client. I do ask, that if you are at all unwell or are experiencing flu like symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who is unwell to please cancel your appointment. My 24 hour cancellation policy does apply. Today, whilst giving a facial to one of my fellow #bossbabes I was devastated to find out that she & her business had been personally bullied by another local woman in the same line of business as her, on social media, because her Instagram feed was too similar to hers & she was told to change it! Now to some this might sound petty but to me this hurt me a lot - to k...now that another aspiring business woman would bully someone into doing this. It is not & never should be ok to bully another person on social media or in any form. Instead of worrying about what someone else is doing with their business I think we all need to get over ourselves a little and focus on our own business & aspirations! 09.01.2022 BALI UPDATED! Hi my beauties I just wanted to do a quick update in light of the dreaded lurgie that is sweeping our planet! Chuff and I are due back next Tuesday & due to start back at work on Thursday, however in light of what is happening we have both decided that to keep our colleagues and clients safe that we will be rescheduling our appointments for the Thurs, Fri & Sat! Although we are staying in a very quiet part of Bali and are avoiding crowds, we do understand t...he magnitude of what is happening and we do not want to risk anything! We will visit our doctor and be tested on the Wednesday & when all tests have come back clear we will be ready to start back at work! I will open my books for the following Monday, Tuesday & then regular hours and I will be in contact with everyone who has an appointment to reschedule! Just wanted to give you a 5 day post needling update My skin feels AMAZING, its never felt so smooth and soft. The pores on my nose arent as noticeable and my overall redness has reduced. A bonus - My skin does feel plump and I think my lips suddenly look bigger haha thanks Collagen! As for peeling,... its been pretty minimal except a bit on my nose but I barely noticed it.
