Her studies led her to her dream job working as an Environmental Support Officer with St Benedict's Catholic School, Shaw in Townsville. Ngaire collaborates with teachers, other school staff and community leaders to develop activities that support students’ understanding of the outdoors, such as creating a native plant and bush tucker trail with support from local Aboriginal elders. 15.01.2022 Are you aware that senior secondary schooling in Queensland has changed? The new Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) system equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the future. Under the new system eligible students will receive an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) instead of an Overall Position (OP). In Queensland, the ATAR recognises a broader range of learning, including the significant role vocational education and training (VET) plays in senior studies. For more information, go to www.qld.gov.au/newqce
