24.01.2022 Welcome back, I'm open and looking forward to seeing you all again. The clinic is fully operational, please remember to have the SafeWA app on your phone and use this for check-in when arriving,QR code is on the door as you enter, hand sanitiser is just inside the door, please use this once inside, before taking a seat in reception. Whilst it is always lovely to see your friends and family, please remember only one person can be in the treatment room at a time so I respectfully ask you attend without additional guests. For bookings using the 'Booking' button on Instagram or Facebook or call me. See you soon. 13.01.2022 Staying safe and wearing your mask is essential, however when the mask comes off, you may be experiencing: blemishes, skin irritation, peeling, or redness around your jawline, cheeks, and mouth this is termed Maskne. It's caused by long periods of wearing a face mask, it's found on the lower face and is caused by moisture, bacteria, friction and temperature changes. Prevention Cleanse AM and PM with a non-irritating cleanser that does not dry your skin.... Water Loss - Do not overdo exfoliation ie scrubs, toners and masks as they will break down your skin barrier. Spot treatments spot treatments will help resolve spots faster, some great ingredients to look for in a spot treatment are Salicylic acid, malic acid (safe for use during pregnancy), zinc, witch hazel. Moisturise more good moisture means protected skin barrier, which means less breakouts. Always moisturize before applying mask to create a barrier between your mask and skin. Synergie Skin Brightenlite or Hydrogel are good choices. Breathable make-up ideally go make-up free on your lower face. if you cant go make-up free , then use a good breathable make-up and ditch lipsticks and blush. Mask care Let's face it, we all will mostly be wearing disposable masks but silk lined or cotton masks are best for acne sufferers. Whatever your mask, try to have at least two masks that you can change over every hour or so to allow them to dry and breathe. Prep your masks by spraying the inside of your mask with a salicylic spray and allow it to dry as this will help minimise breakouts. If you have cloth masks wash with hot water and an anti-bacterial/anti-viral agent white vinegar will do. If you can dry masks in the sun that’s great. I hope you find this information helpful, if you have any questions please message me or make a booking from next Monday, I will be happy to help you keep your skin looking and feeling fresh and healthy. #maskne #covidskinhealth #maskbreakouts #maskacne #perthlockdown #covidskintreatment #perthskinhealth #maskacne #maskirritation #adultacne #acnebreakout #skintreatments #athomeskincare #dermaltherapy #perthskintreatment #perthskinclinic #dermaltherpistperth #maskneproducts #productsforadultacne #productsformaskne #preventmaskne #preventadultacne #avoidmaskne #avoidadultacne #treatmaskne #treatadultacne #acnetreatments #wearingmasks #problematicskin #perthdermaltherapist #whatodoformaskne #whattodoforadultacne
