Due to the hormonal fluctuations occurring over these 4 weeks, it is almost useless to compare daily weights to each other. More relevant would be to compare each week 1 to week 1 of your next cycle! . . Common issues females experience prior to their period: Weight gain Bloating GI Distress Cramping / Back pain Irritability Sleep disturbances . . All these factors are side effects due to the rise in oestrogen and progesterone, which then drops off just before your cycle starts. . . Let’s address the bloating/weight gain: a natural in your weight prior to your period IS expected AND so is increased appetite. This is due to oestrogen and progesterone affecting vasopressin and aldosterone (hormones that effect fluid retention and blood volume). As a result, exercise is harder and everything feels more swollen and tighter. Additional to this,we need roughly 200 -300 extra cals per day coming into your cycle! . .
