23.01.2022 Even if you put sunscreen on right before you jump in the water then dry off, you should reapply right away. No sunscreen is truly waterproof - though there are great water-resistant formulas available - and towelling off means you're wiping away the sun protection afforded by the product you used. https://www.skincancerplus.com.au

14.01.2022 Get to know Dr Marion Chan, also known as Maz Dr Chan is one of our amazing Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons at Skin Cancer Plus. 13.01.2022 Unlike sunlight, UV radiation can't be seen or felt. This means it's impossible to judge risk of sunburn based off the temperature alone. Sun protection is recommended when the UV index reaches 3 or above. (which it does daily, in most of Australia, for most of the year). Make sun safe your default setting and don't forget to Slip, slop, slap, sleep and slide. https://www.skincancerplus.com.au/

13.01.2022 It is never too early! Teaching children proper sun safety can set them up for a lifetime of good habits. Full skin exams should also be done at least once a year. 09.01.2022 4 in 5 Australians don't apply enough sunscreen- are you one of them? . Many Australians will use sun protection on the hottest of days of summer but forget that it's UV, not heat, that leads to skin cancer. UV rays are sneaky- we cannot see or feel them. . Use a generous amount of sunscreen. The average- sized adult should apply a teaspoon of sunscreen (about 5ml) to each arm, each leg, the front and back of your body, and the face/neck (including ears). That is 35ml of sunscreen for one full body application, for an average- sizes adult. https://www.skincancerplus.com.au

04.01.2022 It turns out sunscreen does more than protect you from cancer and painful sunburns -it offers a boost to simple vanity. A new Australian study finds that regular sunscreen use protects against photoaging: the wrinkling, spotting and loss of elasticity caused by exposure to the sun's ultraviolet radiation. Make sunscreen party of your everyday skincare routine and remember to slip, slap, slop. https://www.skincancerplus.com.au/

01.01.2022 It is important to know how to put on a mask properly. Nurse Ebony takes us through how to do this without touching the front of the mask. https://www.skincancerplus.com.au

01.01.2022 At Skin Cancer Plus we have our own operating room on the premises for biopsies, minor excisions, cancer removals, flaps and grafts. These are performed by our Plastic and reconstructive surgeons and General Practitioners. https://www.skincancerplus.com.au
