12.01.2022 ***ATTENTION*** IRONMAN Western Australia competitors, BUSSELTON residents and visitors: This weekend (Saturday 30th November) the Skin Check WA team will be down in Busselton foreshore in support of the 2019 IRONMAN and will be conducting FREE BULK BILLED, SPOT SKIN CHECKS!... If you are in the area and wish to have concerning spots checked, please come down with your medicare card and visit our team tent at the Event. These checks will be carried out between 9am - 3pm. 02.01.2022 Did you know that a UV Index as little as 3 can be damaging for your skin? This week, Perth has an average temperature of a whopping 40 degrees. With a quick check on https://www.myuv.com.au/ we can see that todays UV index is sitting at 13! What is a UV Index? ... The UV Index is a tool you can use to protect yourself from UV radiation. It tells you the time during the day that you need to be sun smart. Sun protection times are issued by the Bureau of Meteorology when the UV Index is forecast to reach 3 or above. At that level, it can damage your skin and lead to skin cancer. Sunscreen should be incorporated into your daily routine on these days. Please be mindful to be sun smart during the reccomended times today between 7:50am - 4:10pm
