I thought that becoming a Registered Nurse would mean I could sit beside a patients bed and hold their hand (boy I was wrong ) There is always a bit of time for some TLC, but mostly you are on the go doing medication rounds, doctors rounds, monitoring patient obs, managing drips, drains and the list goes on! I actually loved every minute of being a Nurse in the hospital setting. And... I feel that my years of hospital experience prepared me for being the right person to inject your face with a Schedule 4 Drug. I know about your medical history, I know what medications may interact with your treatment, and above all else, I will ‘hold your hand’ throughout your treatment. You are not just a number to me.
