24.01.2022 Ok. So a bit slack on the facebook front but hey, its school holidays and my babies come first. Now back to skin needling So the pictures I posted (as you probably gathered) really annoy me! For one they look like skin needling is scraping all your skin off you face and you will end up scarred. This however, is NOT what it looks like.... The pictures show what is a ‘Vampire Facial’. This consists of skin needling THEN using your own blood (which is taken from a vain) and popping it on your skin allowing the goodies to be absorbed into your skin. And yes there are heaps of benefits to this thats why ol’ Kim K has this treatment. What I am talking about is skin needling on its own. Here are a few FAQ about people wanting to have a skin needling treatment. Does it hurt? We use numbing cream to numb the whole area first. What does it feel like? You shouldn’t feel anything at all but some clients have experienced an uncomfortable feeling over bony areas such as forehead. We tend to shorten the needle on these areas. Post treatment you will feel ‘sunburnt’ for a few days but leaves your skin feeling so so so good. What is the downtime for this procedure? Downtime is minimal. 3-5 days. This is only because there may be redness and swelling after the procedure. You can use your normal skincare regime as always but I always suggest using SPF50 on your face for the first few days as you skin is more precious and susceptible to sun damage. How often is this procedure performed? This procedure thankfully is recommended once per month for a period of 6-10 months. It can take as little as 4-6 sessions to start seeing results.. It can take less/more depending on desired results and surrounding skin issues. Very budget friendly and cheaper than laser therapies. Below is some pictures I took of myself. First picture is straight after. Second picture is a few hours after. I would personally 100% recommend skin needling as a treatment. Please note: The redness went down the next day. All our skin is different person to person so please be aware of this. NO TECHNICIAN SHOULD BE DRAWING BLOOD ON YOUR FACE! If this happens stop the procedure straight away. The needle is too deep into your skin Tomorrow I’ll dive into the pros and cons to give you an overall view on the skin needling process.
