25.01.2022 Hi Beautiful souls. It’s been difficult to get my head around this and think about what to write in this post. We have all just started getting back to our new normal and now back to this again. I had a few moments yesterday of freaking out a little as I’m sure many of you have. It’s still a little overwhelming but the sun is shining and we are all in the same boat. ... I will take one day at a time and see this second time around as an opportunity to do lockdown differently. Let’s try and see this pause as a blessing rather than a curse. There is so much growth and healing in this for us, the world ! Focus on finding happiness in the small moments and less about the expectations of the world and what everyone else is doing. Homeschooling again has thrown me but we are going to be doing it differently this time I think, our mental health means so much more. No expectations! On the business side, I will still be available for your skincare needs and can do free local deliveries while in lockdown or posting I will also still be offering Online Skin health consultations on phone or Zoom for new clients and Skin Health Reviews for those of you already on a Dermaviduals skin care plan. I am going to try and unplug a little so that I can be more present for my little dreamer but will choose a time every couple of days to get back to messages and orders. 25.01.2022 Ok, I’ve been a little lost today to be honest. Not really clear on what to do next Yesterday’s announcement has confirmed that our industry will not be able to resume till at least the 23rd of November. Not really the news any of us expected or were hoping for. I was hoping to celebrate my 7 years in business this month but not really sure how right now. ... I’ve really missed all the chats and laughs. You guys have become more than just my clients and I am missing seeing my people! And helping you feel amazing! We are all in the same boat pretty much and fighting this is just going to cause more frustration and anxiety for me and my family, so there is only moving forward from here and focus on what I can control. One day at a time ! Firstly Shelves are looking a little bare and getting a few orders coming through in the last day. Time to check your homecare product levels with the flashlight trick and let me know if you need anything. Will place order on Wednesday evening. Lots of feedback loving the customized masks so will definitely be ordering a few more of them but let me know if you would like one. Secondly I am still here for your skincare needs, I might not be able to see you or give you a facial, but with technology these days you don’t need to struggle with your skin issues alone while in lockdown. I am allowed to open back up again Just in time for the Christmas rush almost I have spent the day contacting clients who were cancelled due to lockdown and clients on the waiting list and still have a few to hear back from.... Thank you for the loyalty and patience shown by my beautiful clients. Warms my heart that you have waited for me to open to look after you. Didn’t know when this day would come !! Here is something you can do on a daily/ weekly basis to help your mind and body reset. I know it takes a bit of preparation and sounds so cliché but I made the effort the other night and it honestly felt so good to look after me for a change. My mind body and soul felt nurtured and relaxed. It was a great way to reset my mind and take stock of what I am grateful for My goal is to try and gift this to myself once a week. I am working on a couple of new treatment offerings so that I can still serve you and help you feel relaxed and looked after even though we can do facials at the moment. Been a whole mixed bag of emotions and lots of dark days and then moments of pure gratitude as I’m sure we are all experiencing. Currently feeling a bit more clear headed, hence my ability to string this post together ... Not sure if it’s the lemongrass oil in the diffuser or the mental space I’m clearing by tackling and shredding about 8 years worth of filing and paperwork Slowly lifting a bit of this heaviness. 06.01.2022 Struggling to find the right cleanser? @dermaviduals Bespoke cleanser might be for you. Every skin is unique. Don’t overlook cleansing! ... So many people think it’s not particularly important as you wipe it on to wash it off, however, cleansing sets the pH of your skin. Washing your skin alone with just water is not enough as the build-up of daily grime, makeup, excess sebum and skin cells that have not yet desquamated need to be addressed. There is a lot of talk about single cleanse versus double cleanse. My advice on this is to make the call each time you cleanse. 02.01.2022 PLEASE READ Good morning and happy Monday beautiful Souls!! Ok, so first things first. ... Yesterday’s announcement was a big step in the right direction. Being able to travel more than 5km from our homes is massive !! And being able to start seeing our family and friends even more amazing!! So, the beauty industry have been given a date, for lots of us it wasn’t what we hoped which was to be able to open alongside hairdressers but that is not happening, but we have been given a date which is from the 1st of November. So happy for our industry and my beauty business friends that they will be able to start seeing clients and start rebuilding their businesses. (And hopefully soon be able to resume facials services as masks still have to be worn for all treatments. ) These women are amazing and their resilience is inspiring !! You know who you are !! Unfortunately this date doesn’t apply to my business and I have to wait a little longer before I can see you guys again The information for home salons is that they can operate only if they are completely separate from the residence. And this is not the case for me as my dear clients know. I am however still available to support you with your skin needs and am offering complimentary Online consultations during lockdown so get in touch if you are needing some skin advice or would just like to chat. I will also be doing lots of things in the background on my business to help serve you guys better when I can open back up. This lockdown period has been a rollercoaster that is for sure but I personally feel so blessed to have been gifted this time to slow down, grow and just be. There are some conditions and restrictions on certain services for now though which I know all my facial clients will not be happy about And I'm not either to be honest, but I get it ! Only treatments where you can still wear your mask can be done.
