25.01.2022 How shaving can cause or spread Acne. Acne can occur from bacteria contamination with shaving tools and technique. Dirty/old razor blades. Old razors can hold bacteria. Be sure to swap your old razors frequently. Max every five shaves. Rinse your razor after every stroke to remove debris. After you are finish, rinse the blade with hot water to sterilise.... Shaving products - Some shaving creams and gels can irritate the skin, causing swelling, inflammation and dehydration. Establish a proper skin care routine. Proper cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising are essential to keep acne at bay. Poor shaving technique - Shaving against the hair is a no no. This will increase your chance of ingrown hair.
