02.01.2022 I began Yoga at the age of 20 after doing asana whilst watching Swami Sarasvati on the Telly. Once I qualified as a nurse I needed yoga to maintain balance from shift work and extreme demands placed on the body - in those days the nurses were the lifting machines! Over the years I worked in all areas of Rehabilitation nursing, in all states of Australia. This experience helps me understand students and their injuries. I travelled to India in 1990 and began to teach yoga at Co...lumbia Swimming club to Europeans and locals. I continued teaching Hatha yoga to kids and adults until I discovered Iyengar Yoga. On returning to Australia I completed a Science Degree in Naturopathy. Post Grad in Homeopathy. Also qualifying as a masseur, kinesiologist and healer. On becoming an Iyengar teacher, Alpha House Yoga began. Thankfully I have learnt so much from my teacher, friends and traveling regularly to India to be taught by the Iyengar family. Hopefully I will continue to learn to help the yogis that attend Alpha House.
