20.01.2022 A huge thing started today! I entered a small business grant competition with BizCover to help me along, and was selected as one of 8 finalists!! The final winner is by votes, and so I really, really need your help!! 1 vote, per person, per DAY is allowed (encouraged!!) from each unique email/FB, so you’ll see me asking, begging and reminding mercilessly here for the next 2 weeks. ... https://woobox.com/hfnxmd Please can you help by clicking and voting (I hope you also enjoy my video submission if you have 90 seconds to watch). You probably don’t know that when I decided to skip a stone for change and run my own business for the first time, that I threw it off the deep end! I went all in and custom made not one but *two* refill wagons, even though there’s only one of me. Of course there’s business growth and the readiness of the Australian public to switch to refill mode for me to overcome yet, before I could afford to staff two (or even one ), but I truly have faith that change is needed in the way we currently consume disposable things, and that people want to do the right thing if it’s made accessible to them. Winning this $2000 grant would be a Godsend to me right now, and get me closer to completing the work on my second wagon so I can *double* the refill stations in Perth. For customers at some markets, that will mean your refill wagon can come twice as often so I’ll be there to top you up whenever you run out. Please will you vote for me?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a supporter of anyone and any scheme that recycles as opposed to not recycling, and encourages us to be mindful about where (and how!) our waste goes ‘away’. But how sustainable is #recycling ? The carbon footprint and financial cost alone, of manufacturing things that are planned to be waste managed is something that I becam...e highly sensitive to in the past 18 months. One more way that you can skip a stone for change and reduce your single-use and disposable plastic waste at my #refillstation . Love your 4-legged buddy? Pet wash.... on tap!!... I’m inordinately excited that it perfectly matches the colour of my refill wagon (insert spark of joy here), but you might be more thrilled to know it contains a mix of essential oils including eucalyptus, tea tree and almond oil to ward off summer bugs.
