13.01.2022 Two of our brilliant students becoming real skydivers! Welcome to the family boys

12.01.2022 This weekend, in the middle of a pandemic, Commandos celebrates it's 60th birthday. The pandemic makes this tricky, because it places limits on what we can do. Just like an individual can't have more than 15 visitors to their house at the moment, the club has to be careful to follow the Covid Safe rules. So what's happening.... Friday: We're jumping! Doors open 7am. Jumping starts 8:30. There's a big ole Caravan to zoom us up to height, load organisers on every load, and fun to be had. At 5pm, there'll be a small ceremony, and then beers and food at the Aero club ($10 a head for the BBQ, the money goes to the Aero Club). Visitors and old jumpers are always welcome at the airport, but due to covid-safe rules and density limits, only registered boogie jumpers and staff are able to be in the Terminal Building itself while we're operational. Saturday: We're Jumping! Doors open at 7am. Jumping starts at 8. There's a big ole Caravan to zoom us up to height, load organisers on every load, and fun to be had. At 6:30pm we shut down, clean up, and head off to the Century Inn for a formal celebration dinner starting at 7pm. Visitors and old jumpers are always welcome at the airport, but due to covid-safe rules and density limits, only registered boogie jumpers and staff are able to be in the Terminal Building itself while we're operational. Sunday: We're Jumping! Jumping starts at 9:30am. There's a big ole Caravan to zoom us up to height, load organisers on every load, and fun to be had. We'll jump till were done. Visitors and old jumpers are always welcome at the airport, but due to covid-safe rules and density limits, only registered boogie jumpers and staff are able to be in the Terminal Building itself while we're operational. Rego for jumpers is $70 a day, or $190 for three days. 14k jump tickets are $47 each or $42 each for a book of 10 (Yep, aircraft are expensive but that's cheaper than most DZ's!). The Saturday Diner is sold out, the Friday drinks & BBQ at the Aero Club is just 10 bucks payable on the day. To be clear: 1. Rego is only payable if you're jumping... 2. Visitors and old jumpers are always welcome at the airport, but due to covid-safe rules and density limits, only registered boogie jumpers and staff are able to be inside the Terminal Building itself while we're operational. 3. Its a club event, run by volunteers, with the aim of celebrating this great clubs 60th. We hope to see lots of you there.
