19.01.2022 Are your cleaning products edible? This is a legit question I’ve had to start asking myself since having children! Can someone tell me why they must put everything in their mouths and at what age does this stop?? ... Like I wouldn’t recommend eating this stuff but I’d be much less concerned about kids eating this than the alternatives I used to use
16.01.2022 Suns out guns out! Or legs out in this case... So you know we’re all basically just plants with more complex emotions, which means we need sunlight to thrive. Yep! A big part of thriving is vitamin D production. So here’s a fun fact -... - vitamin D is hugely supportive to our immune system which we are all focused on right now But also.... - Most of us are vitamin D deficient (which I think we’re becoming more aware of) two big factors contribute to this 1. Our thighs and stomach are our bodies solar panels and this is where we make the most vitamin D BUT they’re also the places we cover up the most in winter. 2. The sun needs to be a certain angle for us to produce vitamin D so your production will be dependant on where you live! So what do we do? - Up the Vitamin D rich foods! My first choice is always how can I get this in my diet? Salmon is a favourite or mine, as well as eggs and mushrooms (random!) - Supplements, again whole food supplements are my go-to. I’ve just ordered some Cod Liver Oil to try because it’s high in vitamin D and lots of other good stuff. - Try the Dminder app, this will tell you how much vitamin D you can produce based on your location, time spent in the sun and how overcast it is. It’s so interesting! - Consult your naturopath or other trusted professional if you’re really concerned. They can do blood tests and see if you are notably deficient and point you in the right direction from there. 03.01.2022 I’ve built my day around small manageable habits and it’s changed my life I was always the person setting the big goal and thinking I needed to overhaul my entire life to achieve it. I remember putting off making changes because I thought it would be unmanageable... I would get annoyed when I didn’t see progress or when my progress stalled. I would eventually give up and this would reaffirm my belief that I wasn’t the type of person that stuck to my goals, I wasnt disciplined enough or a hard enough worker. Blah blah blah... And then I realised that it made no sense to start with the big goal. That would be like naming your children before you’ve even downloaded Tinder (or wherever it is people meet these days ). So here’s what I do instead I decide on the goal and then break down the daily tasks needed to achieve that goal. I slowly implement these daily habits one at a time, each time I master one habit I add in another. I celebrate every day I stick to my habits and don’t beat myself up when I miss day because life happens, this also helps to build trust with myself so I’m changing my own internal beliefs, so powerful! And a big one... I tell myself I’m the sort of person who values ..... If it’s a part of your identity your 8263849x more likely to stick with it. I’ve created a no fuss flow to start implementing better habits in your life (I actually did this for myself but I’ve prettied it up for you). Want it?
