23.01.2022 Our speakers will entertain and inspire you to push yourself further, get that adventure planned and get outside: - James Forrest aka 'Mountain Man' and Adventurer Nic - James has just returned from climbing all 1,001 mountains in the UK in the past 3 years including doing an epic Munro round with Nic, completing all 282 Munros in just 6 months. Come and hear about their adventures across Scotland and beyond. - Iona Adventuring and Lorna Kerr - Iona set up a local walking gro...up in her spare time with the aim of finding people to enjoy the outdoors with, it's now grown to over 2,500 members and has led to some amazing achievements and expeditions. Hear the story of the group, it's founding members and the difference to Lorna, who rediscovered a passion for the outdoors which proved to be life changing. A working single mum, Lorna is pushing her adventurous boundaries and encourages everyone to get involved and explore the environment around them. - Local Projects - Our local community groups are coming to explain their projects to improve access on Skye whilst also maintaining the remote and fragile environment, this will include organised trips to see the locations discussed and openly talk about ideas and projects across the world. 14.01.2022 We’ve taken the difficult decision to cancel Skye Mountain Festival this year. We’ve lost a key financial backer this week and couldn’t risk loosing a significant amount of money ourselves. Hopefully we can get up and running again soon, and I'm sure we'll see you on the hills.
