13.01.2022 Born 29th of January at 7:39am.... This little man decided that he was sick of leaving his daddy in the hospital and that he wanted to stay just down the corridor from him instead. He made an early and very quick entrance into this world and definitely tested out his mumma in the process. Unfortunately Josh was not up to been transferred to the birthing suite so we had to compromise and have him watch the birth via FaceTime with his best friend Jon as his... very own birthing partner. This is not how we had planned our little boys arrival but we have made the best out of a terrible situation and this little man is already so loved by his daddy who has a visit every morning and night. We hope to have daddy home with us in 3 to 4 weeks so we can begin our lives as a little family in our own home.

03.01.2022 Mix of C & D Hybrids

02.01.2022 5 Seconds. 5 seconds is all it took for our world to be turned upside down. The image on the left was taken Monday. We were messing around trying on glasses at... spec savers. We had a normal night just dinner at dads where Josh had told me he planned to go riding the next day. His last ride before becoming a daddy. The second image was taken Tuesday afternoon. Josh was in a serious bike accident Tuesday morning. He was unresponsive at the scene and choking on his own blood barely breathing. It took 2.5 hours to get him stable enough to transport via helicopter to the hospital. He was then to unstable to go to theatre for 3 hours. One they were able to stabilise him he was taken to theatre where they operated for 6 hours trying to save some of his organs and stop the bleeding. We were told the extent of some of his injuries were the worst some of the surgeons have ever seen and that he should not be alive. 5 seconds nearly took him from us, it nearly meant that our baby wouldn’t have his daddy. His body has been through an extreme amount of trauma. He has broken ribs, collapsed his lung, split his spleen in half, lost his kidney, broken his back, cracked the top of his pelvis, ripped the muscle of his pelvis, shattered his knee cap, and had a major internal bleed requiring 4 units of blood. Along with bruising and puncture wounds over his body. We are so lucky that he has pulled through not only his injuries but also his surgeries. He is currently in a critical but stable condition. He is able to communicate with us but struggles to speak in full sentences. We were told by the doctors if it was not for Jon Blacket and Levigh Giles-Stubna he would not be here today. These boy acted quickly and kept josh alive for 35 minutes while waiting for the ambulance to arrive and assisted the ambulance at the scene of the accident. Without these two Baby M would have only known his daddy from photos and stories. Both Josh Matonia and I will forever be in your debt and cannot express how much we appreciate what you did and what you have continued to do over the last few days. It has been an emotional roller coaster and without the love and support of everyone I wouldn’t have coped as well as I have and managed to keep bubs happy and healthy and in my tummy so his daddy can see his birth. We have organised Josh to be wheeled into the delivery room when the times comes so he will be able to see his little man enter this world. This is far from how I ever thought the upcoming weeks to having a baby and starting our little family would be but I am so so so grateful that Josh has pulled through for me and his little boy. He is one tough cookie and I am so proud of him. Thank you to everyone who has messaged and asked how he is going and offered to help in the coming weeks. I appreciate it so much and know Josh will be forever grateful that everyone has stepped in to support his family. I am sorry if you do not get a response to messages for a couple of days. We are all very overwhelmed and trying to cope the best we can.

01.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for 2020!! What a crazy year it has been! Thank you for all of my wonderful clients ongoing support through such a challenge time. I will be back from the 7th of January and working up until I no longer can physically handle it (hopefully 38 weeks). I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year
